David Yates directs Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore from a screenplay by J. K. Rowling and Steve Kloves. It is the third film in the Fantastic Beasts film series and the eleventh overall in the Wizarding World franchise. It is the sequel to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018). Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Jessica Williams,  Alison Sudol, Katherine Waterston, Callum Turner, and Mads Mikkelsen star in the film. Set many years after the events of the last film, Albus Dumbledore assigns Newt Scamander and his comrades to a mission that will lead them deep into the heart of evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald’s army.

For the third Fantastic Beasts film, the official title is now The Secrets of Dumbledore and it has been confirmed. On top of all that, an Easter 2022 release date has been chosen for the Harry Potter spin-off. Dumbledore looks to be the subject of Newt Scamander’s (Eddie Redmayne) next adventure, based on the name, which suggests that it will focus on the mysterious life of the Hogwarts headmaster (The Hartford).

Fantastic Beasts 2 Recap: Summary

The Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA) is moving the powerful evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald from their highest security jail to London in 1927, where he will be judged for his crimes. Grindelwald, aided by his follower and MACUSA employee Abernathy, manages to flee during the transfer.

Following his misadventure in New York City, Newt Scamander petitions the Ministry of Magic in London to reinstate his lost foreign travel permits. Newt meets Leta Lestrange, an old Hogwarts classmate who is engaged to his brother, Theseus, an Auror inside the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, while at the Ministry.

The Ministry promises to reinstate Newt’s travel privileges if he helps Theseus track down the fugitive Credence Barebone, who now has resurfaced in Paris. Leta’s long-lost brother, Corvus Lestrange, last of a long line of pure-blood wizards, could be Credence. Only Credence, Grindelwald believes, can murder his equal, Hogwarts Professor Albus Dumbledore. Newt, on the other hand, refuses to choose sides and is replaced by the Auror Grimmson.
