Khadijah Bell, Thomas’s publicist, said that she died on December 22 in Manhattan.

Her parents, Phynjuar Thomas, who was an actress on stage, and Dennis Thomas, who was in the funk band Kool & the Gang in the 1970s, still live in Weehawken, New Jersey.
