If you’ve always thought that Christmas movies don’t have enough explosions and blood, then Violent Night might be for you. In this new movie from 2022, Santa goes up against a group of thieves to save one family’s Christmas.
Some people like to watch Hallmark Christmas movies or Netflix Christmas movies during the holidays, but Violent Night is here to give you something different. It’s a bit like the cult hit Anna and the Apocalypse or the classic Die Hard.
We’ll see if Violent Night is as good as those, but it was made by the same people who made John Wick, Nobody, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2, so it has a good background.

In the US, UK, and most other countries, Violent Night opens exclusively in theaters on December 2.
What Is The Plot Of Violent Night?
Universal Pictures’ official plot for Violent Night is as follows:
A team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone hostage. But the mercenaries are not prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus.
This script was written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the authors of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Violent Night Cast: Who Is In It?
The role of Santa Claus in Violent Night is played by David Harbour. While Harbour is best known for his role as Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, he also has experience as a big screen action star. He has appeared in Black Widow, Extraction, and The Equalizer, as well as the latest reboot of Hellboy.
Violent Night’s villain is John Leguizamo, whose credits include When They See Us, John Wick, and Moulin Rouge.
In addition to Cam Gigandet, Alex Hassell, Alexis Louder, Edi Patterson, and Beverly D’Angelo, who has appeared in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, appear in the film.
What Is The Name Of The Director Of Violent Night?
Tommy Wirkola, a Norwegian-born director, is in charge of Violent Night. He has worked with snow and blood before, having made the zombie movies Dead Snow and Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead in 2009. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and The Trip are two other movies that Wirkola has worked on.
