Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Release Date For Pc, Ps5, Ps4, Switch – What We Know So Far

P4AU fans will be relieved to learn that the release date and time for the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax remaster for PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch are rapidly approaching.

This is the ultimate Atlus fighting game, with characters from SEES and the Investigation team interacting and battling each other. This implies that gamers will be able to pit the suave boxer Akikhiko against the lass kicker with powerful legs. Chie or they may have Yukari, the finest ever female, pound Teddie, the most obnoxious character of all time.

It has fantastic 2D aesthetics and art style, and the fighting is just as good as Guilty Gear Strive.

When will Persona 4 Arena Ultimax be available?

At The Game Awards 2021 on December 9, 2021, a version of the game for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 was revealed, with a release date of March 17, 2022. The transfer contains all previously published downloadable material, and the gameplay is based on the most recent upgrade to the arcade version.  All revisions of the new port were released with online play, employing delay-based net code identical to prior versions of the game.

The Steam and PlayStation 4 versions, on the other hand, are planned to feature rollback net code through a patch later this summer.  The lobby mode was omitted from the Steam and Nintendo Switch editions, as it was from the Xbox 360 port of the original release, and was only made accessible as a feature in the PS4 version of the remaster. In addition, the Steam version of the game was published in a “Midnight Channel Collection” package that included both Arena Ultimax and Persona 4 Golden on PC. The standalone game is also discounted for owners of the latter game on Steam.

About Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Atlus and Arc System Works collaborated on Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, a fighting video game. Atlus in Japan and North America and Sega in Europe launched it for arcades in 2013, then for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2014. Sega launched versions for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 in March 2022. The game is a spin-off from the Persona series, which is part of the wider Megami Tensei brand. It is a direct successor to Persona 4 Arena. The gameplay adheres to traditional fighting game standards, with fights between two characters each with their own set of move sets and special disposable powers. The plot is told in the form of visual novel pieces.

Arena Ultimax takes place immediately after Persona 4 Arena; Arena takes place two months after Persona 4, and three years after Persona 3. Following the appearance of a mystical red fog in the village of Inaba, the Persona 4 Investigation Team joins forces with the Shadow Operatives—a squad founded by the SEES of Persona 3—to investigate the truth behind the P-1 Grand Prix and fight Sho Minazuki, a hostile Persona user.

Arena Ultimax was created to serve as a conclusion to the Arena saga, and it began creation following the critical and economic success of the first game. Arena’s core team returned for Arena Ultimax, and the gameplay was enhanced in response to player feedback. Downloadable DLC containing characters and accessories accompanied the release. The game sold over 280,000 sales worldwide and received favorable reviews from critics, with many citing the gameplay as superior to its predecessor.

What platforms does Persona 4 Arena Ultimax support?

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be available for the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Microsoft Windows in the near future. It was formerly available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

One thing to keep in mind about the Switch release is that it will not have Rollback Netcode. This is a pity because it is a crucial component of having a seamless experience while playing online – fingers crossed that this won’t detract too much from Nintendo gamers’ pleasure. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Rollback Netcode is included in the PlayStation and Windows releases.
