Genshin Impact is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices from creator miHoYo, with a going global of HoYoverse.

It was, however, announced for the Nintendo Switch from the beginning. However, since first announcing the Nintendo Switch based on the popular free-to-play video game, the developer has been relatively quiet on the subject. However, according to a new update from the developer, the Nintendo Switch edition is still in the works.

Given the continued production challenges and the delayed Version 2.7 release, it’s understandable that some people might question if the long-awaited Nintendo Switch version was still in the works.

It certainly is, according to the developer. “We will share more details as we proceed farther along with the Switch version [of Genshin Impact],” stated Xin Yang, a miHoYo PR specialist, in a statement to GoNintendo.

Genshin Impact Nintendo Switch Features

The first broadcast of Genshin Impact occurred on June 8, 2019, a few months after the Manga’s release. Upon its release, many individuals compared Genshin Impact to a crude copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Fans discovered a different layout when Genshin Impact was launched for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on the 14th of January 2020.

It also became evident to people who took part in the CBT that the game is nothing like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild after the games pre-release in 2020 was called “Genshin Impact.” Therefore, it is apparent that the game was always intended to be launched as Genshin Impact Switch.

We do not currently have any official information regarding the features of the Genshin Switch version, but we anticipate more data from the developers in the near future.

Is Genshin Impact Still Coming To Switch?

MiHoYo revealed the Nintendo Switch adaptation of Genshin Impact over two years ago. Since then, there has been little information regarding the port, but on Thursday, the company verified that the project is still in progress.

Some players began to mistrust the project’s future completion during the long wait for the Switch port, speculating that miHoYo had left the project due to the Switch’s technological limitations. MiHoYo, on the other hand, issued a statement informing gamers that the project is still ongoing.

“The Switch version is still in production,” a source informed GoNintendo. “We will share more details as we advance further along.”

MiHoYo revealed no other information about the impending port.

While the release date for the Switch port is still unknown, the Genshin Impact team has been upgrading the game every six weeks (aside from a currently unexplained hiatus). MiHoYo recently released Version 2.6, which included the character named Kamisato Ayato as well as The Chasm, a Liyue expansion. The storyline of the Kamisato Clan, a well-loved family from the in-game continent of Inazuma, was further filled out in version 2.6.

IGN rated Genshin Impact a 9 out of 10, complementing the game’s original characters and the vast breadth of Teyvat’s in-game universe. Due to its frequent content releases, we also named Genshin as one of the top ongoing games of 2021.
