Dead Space Remake: Everything We Know So Far About Release Date, Gameplay, Tailer And More

The Dead Space remake will finally be released on January 27, 2023. The announcement was accompanied by the following statement from Dead Space Senior Producer Phillippe Ducharme. “We’re making great progress toward Alpha, and we’re excited to announce that the game will be available in January of next year.” We can’t wait for old and new players to see how we’ve improved on the original experience in the remake to make it just as impactful for this generation.” We can only hope that date holds.

Dead Space Remake Story

The Dead Space remake will follow the same plot as the original, but with Gunner Wright reprising his role as Isaac Clarke, the dialogue may be reworked to be more in line with modern games.

In Dead Space, humanity has depleted all of Earth’s natural resources and must travel into space to find new materials. Researchers discover The Marker in space, an alien artifact that can serve as an endless source of energy for the Earth.

Things go wrong, and Isaac later boards the USG Ishimura to discover that the entire crew has been slaughtered by alien Necromorphs, and his partner Nicole is trapped somewhere on the ship.

Dead Space Remake Gameplay

The developers have stated that the game will feature redesigned assets, character models, and environments, so the gameplay will most likely be the most noticeable change in the Dead Space Remake.

Motive Studios also intends to use the SSDs in the Xbox Series X and PS5 by removing loading screens and executing the story as a “uninterrupted sequence shot.” Furthermore, the developers stated that content from the original game may be added to this version.

My biggest beef with the original Dead Space was that the color palette was limited to dark browns and nothing else. I hope the art design is revamped to eliminate the homogeneous design found in the majority of the levels.

It would also be nice if the developers reworked the upgrade system; leveling up weapons felt far too taxing. There were even empty slots on upgrade nodes, which was extremely inconvenient.
Motive Studios, which created Star Wars: Squadrons, will use the Frostbite engine, which is notorious for its complexity.

The devs recently discussed changing the Plasma Cutter and Pulse Rifle to feel more like the original and be more chaotic, respectively, in a recent update.
