Young Justice is definitely one of the most popular animated TV shows ever. It has been a fan favorite for over a decade because of how complex and grown-up the story is and how well it handles a lot of characters at once. The question is whether or not it will come back for another season.

The show has been on the air for a long time. It was first shown on Cartoon Network from 2010 to 2013 for two seasons before it was unfairly canceled (which had nothing to do with ratings). Then, in 2019, the DC Universe streaming service brought it back for a third season called Young Justice: Outsiders.

It was then picked up for a fourth season, Young Justice: Phantoms, which moved to HBO Max after the DC streamer turned into a comics-only service.

Young Justice Season 5 Is It Renewed?

Season 5 of Young Justice has not been renewed as of yet.

At this point, it is unknown whether or not the fifth season of Young Justice will be produced. The showrunners, Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti have stated that they have ideas for many more seasons of the famous cartoon superhero series, and the season 4 finale of Young Justice sets up additional story hooks for the following season.

Weissman, on the other hand, warned his Twitter followers that the show’s future was uncertain, telling one fan who inquired about the release date of Young Justice season 5 that “the first question is ‘if,’ not ‘when.'”

This sparked a community movement to increase the number of people watching all four seasons of Young Justice on HBO Max and to make the show’s name trend on social media.

Young Justice Season 5 Expected Release Date

Young Justice season 5 is set to release in the fall of 2024, at the earliest. This estimate is based on the fact that production on Young Justice season 4 took somewhat more than two years after the conclusion of Young Justice season 3.

This assumes that HBO Max accepts the new season’s production soon. It’s feasible, however, that a new season of Young Justice may be put together more quickly this time around because there are no concerns about the show being picked up by a new network.

Young Justice Season 5 Expected Characters

There are several characters to discover in the series, but let’s focus on the most well-known. Young Justice’s The Group is a team of young superheroes assigned with carrying out tasks for the Justice League. Its members are Artemis, Superboy, and Robin, and we expect them to return in Season 5.

Young Justice Season 5 Expected Plotline

Young Justice season 4’s end scenes hint that at least one space conflict would be part of the season 5 storyline. Except for one prisoner who was given over to Darkseid, Vandal Savage imprisoned all of the Kryptonians stranded in the Phantom Zone within his Warworld fortress.

In a post-credits scene that also disclosed the fate of Mary Marvel during Young Justice season 4’s semi-finale, this prisoner was discovered to be Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El.

In preparation for an invasion of Earth, both teenage ladies were recruited by Granny Goodness’ elite Furies team. Aside from that, Ursa Zod, the new Emerald Empress, is still on the run, people who fled to the planet Daxam to give birth to her son.
