Officially, Daniel Kaluuya will not appear in the next Black Panther movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With intentions to release the movie in later November, Disney and filmmaker Ryan Coogler finished up Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s production in March. Kaluuya will not be appearing in Black Panther 2 as a result of his prior commitment to Jordan Peele’s next horror film, Nope, according to a new report from Variety.

Marvel decided not to remake the part of T’Challa after the passing of the movie’s star, Chadwick Boseman, and instead chose to respect his legacy. Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett are among the cast members from the first movie who have officially returned.

In the movie Nope, which will be released on July 22, Kaluuya will be joined by Keke Palmer and Steven Yuen as they follow locals into a remote village following a series of occurrences involving extraterrestrial life. Black Panther 2’s involvement with Kaluuya has not yet been made official. On November 11, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in theatres.

Ryan Gosling apparently wants to play Ghost Rider in the MCU, according to other reports in the entertainment industry.
