Approximately one year from now, in 2022, the fourth season of the series will premiere. Although no precise date has been announced, the show is expected to return in the fourth quarter of 2022, if not sooner. After all, while the show’s first two seasons both aired in the spring, that trend altered when the COVID-19 epidemic forced the show’s filming schedule to be shifted (as reported by Vox), resulting in the third season opening in the fall.

What We Do In The Shadows Season 4 Cast

Every major recurring character on “What We Do in the Shadows” appears to be returning for the show’s fourth season, which means Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Guillermo (Harvey Guillén), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) are all expected to make a reappearance. In a recent interview with Deadline, Proksch even indicated that he would be returning. The actor said that his character will, in fact, continue to exist in a very vulnerable state in the upcoming season, while also hinting that “a lot” of his work “will be done independently on green screen and other effects.”

The film “What We Do in the Shadows” is also well-known for its excellent cameos and supporting performances. For the first time in the show’s history, the third season featured surprise visits by everyone from series creator and executive producer Taika Waititi to comedian David Cross (via Screen Rant). In the instance of Waititi, the filmmaker makes a cameo appearance in the season through some amusing VHS tapes (via TVInsider).

Those kinds of cameos is likely to appear more frequently in “What We Do in the Shadows” Season 4 than they have in previous seasons.

What We Do In The Shadows Season 4 Plot

Season 4 of “What We Do in the Shadows” may be a long way off at this point, but that hasn’t stopped conjecture about where the show’s primary cast of characters will go in the future. When The Walking Dead finishes its third season, the biggest issue is how Colin Robinson’s personal rebirth will affect the show. Those who have watched the show know that Colin was on a journey to learn more about energy vampires when he died at the ripe old age of 100. Everyone except Laszlo, who has been assigned with the responsibility of caring for the character’s baby self, is aware of the character’s baby self.

Meanwhile, the relationship between Nadja and Laszlo is likely to become more interesting now that he has deceived her into believing he is okay with her relocation to the United Kingdom. Also of note, putting Guillermo in that shipping container and coffin not only puts Nadja in the situation of having to choose between love and dream employment with the Vampire Council, but it also has the potential to put an end to Guillermo’s aspirations of becoming a vampire in his own right.

The series has also introduced viewers to a diverse range of supernatural species, and it appears like the show’s second season will continue to explore this aspect of its fictitious world in greater depth. Certainly, executive producer Paul Simms teased at the 2021 New York Comic Con (via CBR) how supernatural creatures will play a role in “What We Do in the Shadows” Season 4, saying, “There is an episode we will be shooting in Season 4 that Yana [Gorskaya] is directing, and it is probably the most ambitious episode we’ve done in terms of seeing the other creatures of the supernatural world.”
