Season four of Westworld is officially underway, and all we have to do now is wait.
“From the western theme park to the technocratic city of the near future, we’ve genuinely appreciated every twist and turn,” HBO programming executive Casey Bloys said ahead of its release.
“We’re excited to see where their vision leads us next.”
Showrunners Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan disclosed to Variety before the season four announcement that their goal was to make at least one more season of the head-spinning sci-fi extravaganza — and happily, their desire was fulfilled.
But what are they planning? Season four of Westworld has all you need to know.

Westworld Season 4 Expected Cast
The cast of Westworld has it easier than most. Even if their characters are killed off, actors can often reappear in a new host body, meaning that even season three’s casualties could reappear later.
We currently know that some actors are returning thanks to the HBO sizzle reel. Thandiwe Newton plays Maeve Millay, with Jeffrey Wright plays Bernard Lowe / Arnold Weber and Aaron Paul plays Caleb Nichols rounding out the cast.
Other celebrities likely to return include:
- Charlotte Hale / Dolores Abernathy, Tessa Thompson
- Ashley Stubbs is played by Luke Hemsworth.
- Lee Sizemore is played by Simon Quarterman.
- Hector Escaton is played by Rodrigo Santoro.
Ed Harris has returned in yet another twist. Thompson’s ‘Halores’ killed the Man in Black, but in true Westworld fashion, he was replaced with
a host that she controls, meaning Harris will be back for bout four.
Westworld Season 4 Expected Plot
Everything about the plot of Westworld’s next series is being kept under wraps. Nothing has been revealed by the directors, cast, or crew, and even the cast members were unaware prior to production. Jonathan Nolan, the show’s screenwriter, has refused to say whether the new season will take place in the real world, in the park, or in the future.
What we do know is that the Westworld crew has been sighted filming in a new location: Canyonland National Park in Utah. Unfortunately, what this indicates remains a mystery.
In other news, Will Smith’s Oscars fight with Chris Rock has spawned a slew of memes. In the Halo TV series, it was also disclosed why Master Chief removed his helmet.
