The Owl House Season 3: Everything We Know So Far about This Series!

It is the storey of Luz Noceda (Sarah-Nicole Robles), an aspirational dreamer from Connecticut who unintentionally travels through a portal to a magical world known as the Boiling Isles instead of going to summer camp, as told by Dana Terrace in the Disney Channel original movie “The Owl House.” There, she meets “The Owl Lady,” Eda Clawthorne (Wendie Malick), a strong-willed and talented witch who offers to train Luz in magic while they attempt to return her to the human world. Luz, who is staying at the Owl House with Eda and another roommate, the demon King (Alex Hirsch), quickly adjusts to life in this strange new land, enrolling in a local magic school where she meets new people, makes new enemies, and learns new skills.

There are a variety of reasons why “The Owl House” is a fan favourite series, but one of the most notable is that the show made history by featuring Disney’s first bisexual lead in a series with Luz and Amity (Mae Whitman), a girl from her school, beginning a relationship. This is a significant achievement for children’s animation, and it is just one example of the growing number of LGBTQ+ characters appearing in media. On June 12, 2021, Season 2 of the animated series began airing. It will consist of 21 episodes, which will be released in two batches. Season 2 will continue the storey of Luz, Eda, and the others, with the threat of the menacing Emperor Belos (Matthew Rhys) looming over everything. While “The Owl House” viewers are clearly enjoying the new episodes, the question of whether there will be a Season 3 is constantly on their minds. So, is this the conclusion of Luz’s saga?

Here’s everything we know so far about the third season of “The Owl House.”

The Owl House Season 3 Release Date

The good news for “The Owl House” fans is that the show will return for a third season, though the format will be a little different than the previous two seasons. An article from Deadline claims that the third season of the show will consist of three specials lasting 44 minutes each. Unfortunately, the news is a little bittersweet, as it was also announced that Season 3 will be the final season of the show, which was confirmed by Terrace on her Twitter account.

“The Owl House” must complete Season 2 before Season 3 can be released on DVD or streaming services. Beginning in mid-June 2021, new episodes have been airing every week, and the first half of Season 2 will conclude on August 14, 2021, with the second half of Season 2 to follow. As of right now, it is unclear when the season will resume in order to complete the remaining episodes of the show.

The Owl House Season 3 Release Date

Considering that the first season of “The Owl House” ended on August 29, 2020, it only took a little more than a year for Season 2 to premiere in 2021, despite the pandemic that had to be dealt with. This is fantastic news for fans, who can now look forward to the premiere of the first of three specials during Season 3 of the show, which is expected to air within a year of the conclusion of Season 2.

The Owl House Season 3 Cast

Besides the main cast of “The Owl House,” which includes Robles, Hirsch, Malick, and Whitman, the third season will also feature Tati Gabrielle as Luz’s high school friend Willow, Isaac Ryan Brown as her other friend Gus, and Ciss Jones as Eda’s sister Lilith. The third season of “The Owl House” will premiere on September 27th on ABC. With an expanded cast from Season 1, Rhys is expected to play a larger role in the second season as Belos, and Zeno Robinson will play the Golden Guard, a new character introduced in Season 2 who is sent by Belos to spy on the Owl House and its inhabitants.

Season 2’s guest voice cast includes a number of well-known actors and actresses, including Felicia Day from “The Guild,” Harvey Guillén from “What We Do in the Shadows,” Nik Dodani from “Atypical,” and Alex Lawther from “The End of the F***ing World.” Season 3 is expected to continue the trend of prominent guest stars, but there has been no mention of any specific actors who might appear in the show at this time.

The Owl House Season 3 Plot

Season 2 of “The Owl House,” which is currently airing, picks up right where Season 1 leaves off, and Season 3 is expected to do the same following the conclusion of Season 2 of the show. After rescuing a cursed Eda from Belos, who is attempting to gain control of the portal to the human realm, Luz and King must face a new challenge in Season 2. Luz destroys the portal, which was her only means of returning home, in order to prevent him from doing so. She then promises her mother that she will find an alternate means of returning soon. Throughout this time period, Lilith, who had previously been a staunch supporter of Belos, has turned against him in order to save her sister from a terrible fate. However, while she is unable to completely cure Eda of her curse, Lilith is able to transfer half of it to herself, essentially returning Eda to her original state, albeit with less magic.

Season 2 of “The Owl House” is darker and more serious in tone than the first season. Below is currently re-building the portal, and Lilith is attempting to make up for her previous mistakes by assisting Eda and the others in any way she can find. Eda and Lilith are working on their sisterly relationship while also dealing with their shared curse, which necessitates the use of elixirs on a regular basis. As a result of these developments, King learns the truth about his origins, Luz learns about other humans on the Boiling Isles, and Amity’s feelings for Luz — and vice versa — continue to develop.

While it’s impossible to predict what this crew will be up to in Season 3, one thing is almost certain: Luz, King, Eda, Lilith, and Amity will all be present, and there will undoubtedly be plenty of magical mischiefs to be had.
