The Man From Toronto: Cast, Trailer And All You Need To Know

The magic of a good buddy-action film can’t be overstated. It’s a hoot to watch two random strangers work together to achieve a common goal while simultaneously wreaking havoc. It’s a formula that Kevin Hart appears to have mastered, as well. The comedic legend is well-versed in the genre after films like “Ride Along,” “Central Intelligence,” and “Get Hard.”

There’s more to come for those who have enjoyed Hart’s previous buddy-action outings. The Man from Toronto,” directed by Patrick Hughes, has finished filming and is now ready for distribution. The Hitman’s Bodyguard, starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, was directed by Hughes.

His return to buddy films, along with Hart’s, ensures that the film has two genre pros to ensure its success. Due to recent events, the production of “The Man from Toronto” has been difficult. Although we have very little information about the film at this time, there is enough here for us to get a sense of what it is about. What we do know about “The Man from Toronto” thus far is summarised in the following.

The Cast of The Man From Toronto

Director Patrick Hughes (Red Hill, The Expendables 3, and the two Hitman’s Bodyguard movies) is behind this film.

Jason Blumenthal’s only other writing credit is creating the storey for the 1990s Pauly Shore movie Bio-Dome (weird!). Robbie Fox and Jason Blumenthal collaborated on this film’s storey. In addition to directing, Fox penned the film’s screenplay. Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones and Westworld) and Rob Hardy (Ex Machina, Annihilation, and Mission: Impossible – Fallout) are both serving as composers for the film’s soundtrack, which will be composed by Djawadi. The production team includes Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, and Todd Black.

Originally, Jason Statham (Crank, Fast & Furious 7) was set to play the title character but walked away from the project a few weeks before filming because he disagreed with the film’s tone and rating. According to reports, Statham wanted the film to be rated R, but the studio preferred PG-13 as a more family-friendly option. Woody Harrelson has replaced him, and he’ll star alongside Kevin Hart, who plays the bungling assassin who is mistaken for the real killer in the movie. Seven other actors join Kaley Cuoco in the cast: Pierson Fodé; Jasmine Mathews; Ellen Barkin; Lela Loren; and Kate Drummond and Tomohisa Yamashita

What’s the story behind ‘The Man from Toronto’?

The lack of trailers for “The Man from Toronto” means that very little information is available about the film’s plot. Teddy (Hart), dubbed “New York’s biggest screw-up,” is mistaken for “The Man from Toronto” at an Airbnb and must deal with the fallout. According to Deadline, the two must work together to “save the day.”

This is a good starting point, but it doesn’t give us a clear picture of what “The Man from Toronto” is all about. How Teddy and The Man from Toronto end up fighting against him is a mystery. We don’t even know how they came to be partners in the first place. Most of the time, getting taken in by a trained killer because you were mistaken for someone else at an Airbnb is an unusual outcome.

Sony has until the end of January to provide more details about the game. While we wait for answers, “The Man from Toronto” will remain an enigma. Even if the film fails to live up to the hype, it has a strong cast and a compelling story.
