Tehran season 2 episode 2 recap:

Tamar, like Faraz, is devastated by her aunt and uncle’s killings. “Surprise him,” Faraz says. Milad escapes, and when Tamar comes, she and Milad flee. But not until Faraz sees them. The blame for the deaths stops Tamar from leaving. But she encourages Milad to go and says she’ll see him in Canada. He won’t leave. General Qasem pays Faraz a visit when he is at home with his erratic wife Nahid.

General Qasem thinks it’s strange that Faraz finally saw Tamar after two months of searching. Marjan meets Tamar. Marjan wanted to never see her. She also lost loved ones. But, Tamar says she didn’t get in the truck because she knew how to reach General Qasem. Tamar says she’ll meet her son Vahid and contact General Qasem through him.

Marjan says she’ll forward Tamar’s message. As soon as Tamar leaves the car, Yulia is shown listening with an earphone. Tamar wakes up the following morning to Marjan and Milad making breakfast. Milad meets Vahid and, after being kicked out, convinces him to come back the following day to consume drugs.

After last season, it’s easy to understand Nahid’s paranoia. The exchange worries Faraz, so he threatens a witness with a pistol who he feels knows something about Tamar. Ali suggests to Faraz that Nahid visit a mental health center, noting his own issues.
