Ted Lasso Season 3: Release Date? Cast? And Everything You Should Know

On October 2, 2020, the debut chapter of the comedy ended and it was already known for weeks that Apple TV + would make a second one. Surprisingly, however, the renewal also came for the third season. The service made this important decision in light of the huge success of the first cycle of episodes.

As reported by TVLine, in fact, in 2020 Ted Lasso ranked first among the most viewed comedies of the streaming service and the audience increased by more than 600% compared to the debut day, setting new records for original Apple TV +.

Ted Lasso Season 3: What Is The Plot?

As for the plot of Ted Lasso season 3, there are no official previews at the moment. However, the season 2 finale left us with clues. First, Richmond was promoted back to the Premier League.

With the start of the championship, the team will be confronted with Rupert, the former owner of the club and the ex-husband of Rebecca, who acquired West Ham United and even hired Nate as manager. Things between the latter and Ted did not end in the best way, after the revelation to the press about Lasso’s panic attack, and not because the coach had a particular resentment towards him.

As for the other important relationships in the series, it seems that between Rebecca and Sam it is over, despite the player’s decision to stay at Richmond. We will find out later, then, what will happen to Roy and Keeley, after the recent changes that have led the young woman to open her own business.

Ted Lasso Season 3: Do We Have A Release Date

At the moment we still don’t know when Ted Lasso season 3 will be released. For now, it is difficult to formulate hypotheses, given that the second chapter has just ended on October 8, 2021. The release date of season 2 fell in July 2021. Could we, therefore, expect Ted Lasso 3 for summer 2022? Maybe this time around we will have to wait a little longer, as stated by co-creator Brendan Hunt (aka Coach Beard). As of today, we only know that filming should start on January 31, 2022, according to Phil Dunster. As soon as we have more information about it, we will update you.
