The third season trailer for Star Trek: Picard has arrived. The Patrick Stewart-led space odyssey, as he guides The Next Generation crew on one final mission, has been teased by Paramount+. Season three of the revival series serves as the series’ final chapter, with ten episodes featuring recurring characters at a mature stage in their lives. Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard will premiere on Paramount+ on February 16, 2023, and will conclude on April 20, 2023. The show will be available on Amazon Prime Video in India.

The trailer for Star Trek: Picard season 3 is designed in the style of a farewell video. It’s the end of an era as we see Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Stewart) gather his crew for one last mission among the stars. The sneak peek, which is light on plot details, begins with Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) requesting assistance from Picard and his crew via radio.

We can deduce from the trailer’s brief shot that her ship is boarded by an unknown new threat, which she repels with firearms. “I can’t ask you to put yourself in danger now,” Picard says, attempting to persuade a now-mature William T. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) to join him on his next adventure.

Cast

The trailer and posters show off the cast and characters who will be returning to Picard in the final season. Patrick Stewart (Jean Luc Picard), LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge), Michael Dorn (Worf), Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), and Jonathan Frakes are among the cast members (William Riker).

They are joined by other Picard co-stars Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) and Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker). This will be the first time that all of the main TNG characters have appeared together since the 2002 feature film “Star Trek: Nemesis.”

Brent Spiner, who appeared in Picard season 2 and played the android Data on The Next Generation and Data’s human brother Alan Inigo Soong on Picard, will also appear in season 3.

Plot of Picard Season 3

Season 3 of Picard will most likely feature a villain inspired by the “mind games between Kirk and Khan” in Wrath of Khan. This final season may also deal with Picard confronting childhood trauma that he’s been trying to avoid his entire life.

Picard’s Season 2 finale also featured Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton), who unexpectedly appeared mid-episode to convince Kore (Isa Briones) to join the Travelers. However, Briones does not appear to be in season 3, so it is unclear whether the series will continue with this plot line.

Patrick Stewart also hinted at the Comic-Con that he will set foot on the Enterprise-D at least once in Season 3.
