Yes, we know that season five of “Selling Sunset” has just debuted, but we are already thinking about next season. The real-estate reality program has sold us so much drama over the last few years that Netflix did not hesitate to renew the series for seasons six and seven prior to the launch of season five.
Us Weekly reported in January that the cast of “Selling Sunset” is “very excited” about the show’s future, but don’t expect another back-to-back season anytime in the near future.
According to another source, the cast plans to take “a little time off” before returning to work. And, given the delay in filming, it looks as though season six will broadcast in 2023. However, there will be plenty of drama to consume between now and then, as “Selling Sunset” season five features the show’s first-ever reunion episode.

Netflix has not announced the release date but the show is renewed for a new season (season 6), but the season five finale will likely fill in some of those details. Because their breakup occurred after season five was filmed, a certain couple (Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim) will surely get more screen time. All we can do now is wait for the release of Selling Sunset Season 6.
US Weekly stated in January 2022 that the show had been renewed for TWO more seasons. Netflix has verified this, it would follow a similar pattern to what it has done previously.

Seasons four and five were commissioned together in January 2021 and covered roughly a year in the life of the cast (including in-season breaks).

Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Christine Quinn, Heather Rae El Moussa, Amanza Smith, and Brett and Jason Oppenheim are all expected to appear. Additionally, Davina Potraz has returned since season 5. Additionally, the season’s newcomers—Emma Hernan and Vanessa Villela—are expected to return unless the show gets a significant overhaul.
But, one cast member has already stated that they will not return…at least not in the same capacity. Maya Vander is now a mother of two and must split her time between Los Angeles and Miami, as viewers are aware. “I’m definitely not going to be a full-time cast member,” she told E! News, “because it’s going to be logistically impossible for me to do the back-and-forth again.”
Expected Plot For Selling Sunset Season 6
It depends on when the program starts production, but viewers will be desperate to see the fallout from Chrishell and Jason’s December 2021 breakup. Six months after confirming their relationship in July 2021 (as seen in season five), the couple called it quits due to their different aspects of starting a family.
“I’ve tried to accept the reality in which I’ve found myself, which includes being honest and open about my relationships,” Chrishell stated at the time. “It was frightening and scary to think that it might not end in what society deems a success or in what I am ultimately wanting. But, after many long and heartfelt discussions, I’ve decided to see it a success, regardless of the name that is officially linked to it.”
