The official trailer for Ryan Murphy’s upcoming limited series “The Watcher,” which stars Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale, shows that they have some nosy neighbors.

Based on real events, the seven-part series follows Dean (Cannavale) and Nora (Watts) Brannock as they move into their dream home in the idyllic suburb of Westfield, N.J., but they soon find out that their new neighborhood is not so friendly. When the couple starts getting scary letters from someone named “The Watcher,” the dark secrets of the neighborhood and its people come to light.

Along with Cannavale and Watts, the cast includes Mia Farrow, Terry Kinney, Richard Kind, Margo Martindale, Noma Dumezweni, Joe Mantello, and Jennifer Coolidge as Karen Calhoun, the real estate agent who sells the couple their New Jersey home without them knowing.

In September, Netflix put out a teaser trailer that showed Coolidge in a fake ad for the Westfield property’s open house.

“If you look out, you can actually see everything going on in the town. “But you should keep the curtains closed,” Coolidge says in the teaser while looking out the window. “You know, there are some strange neighbors out there, and you don’t want them watching you. That’s certain.”

The show was created by Murphy and Ian Brennan, who are also executive producers. Other executive producers are Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Bryan Unkeless, Eric Newman, Paris Barclay, Naomi Watts, Ariel Schulman, Henry Joost, and Scoop Wasserstein.

“The Watcher” comes out on Netflix on October 13. See the whole trailer down below.
