Ms. Marvel Release Date Set for June 2022, Official Trailer Revealed Disney+ Release Date

Ms. Marvel is a planned American television miniseries based on the Marvel Comics character Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, produced by Bisha K. Ali for the streaming service Disney+. It is supposed to be the sixth television series in Marvel Studios’ Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the franchise’s films. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah lead the directorial team, with Ali serving as the chief writer.

Iman Vellani plays Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, and the film also stars Saagar Shaikh, Aramis Knight, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur. In August 2019, Ali’s involvement in the series was revealed. Vellani was cast in September 2020, with directors El Arbi and Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon.

Filming began in early November 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia, and New Jersey, and will be completed in Thailand in May 2021.

Ms. Marvel will debut on June 8, 2022, and will consist of six episodes. It will be included in the MCU’s Phase Four. The series will act as a prelude to the film The Marvels (2023), in which Vellani, along with other cast members, will reprise her role as Khan.

Ms. Marvel Release Date:

Ms. Marvel is set to premiere on Disney+ on June 8, 2022, with six episodes.

It was previously expected to debut in late 2021, but following the announcement of Hawkeye premiering in late November 2021, Aaron Couch of The Hollywood Reporter stated that it was “unclear” if Ms. Marvel would still release in 2021, given Hawkeye would still be releasing into December and it was “unlikely” that two Marvel Studios series would release at the same time.

Matt Webb Mitovich of TVLine stated in August 2021 that it was “quite fair to believe” Ms. Marvel will premiere in early 2022, which was confirmed the following month. It was revealed in March 2022 to be the second Marvel Studios Disney+ series to release following the launch of Moon Knight that month, before it was confirmed for the June 2022 premiere in November 2021. Ms. Marvel will appear in the MCU’s Phase Four.

What exactly is the plot of Ms. Marvel?

The first season of Ms. Marvel will feature an origin narrative. Kamala Khan is a geeky Pakistani-American adolescent and the Marvel universe’s first Muslim superhero. She obtains her powers as a polymorph in Jersey City. This happens in the comics after coming into touch with Terrigen Mist, although the teaser suggests things may be different.

The official summary is as follows:

“Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series from Marvel Studios that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American adolescent growing up in Jersey City. Kamala is a Super Hero big fan with an enlarged imagination, especially when it comes to Captain Marvel. She is an enthusiastic gamer and voracious fan-fiction author. Kamala, on the other hand, feels invisible both at home and at school—that is, until she gains superpowers like the heroes she has always admired. Isn’t it true that having superpowers improves your life?

Kamala has the ability to change her appearance at will, although she requires time to recover after utilizing her talents. Her adversaries range from enormous evil guys to street-level criminals, although we think that the series will lean toward the latter.

That’s because we believe the series will want to allow Kamala the opportunity to shine when she makes her confirmed appearance in The Marvels, Captain Marvel’s sequel. She’ll co-star with Brie Larson (who plays Carol Danvers) and WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris (playing Monica Rambeau). This film will also include Kamala’s relatives.

This isn’t the first Disney+ series to set the seeds for direct tie-ins with movies; WandaVision did it with the Doctor Strange sequel.

Official Trailer of Ms. Marvel:

At Disney’s Investor Day in December 2020, a first look at the series including early footage, testimonies regarding the character’s influence, and snippets from Vellani’s audition was displayed. It was “simply priceless,” according to Josh Weiss of Syfy Wire, to see the precise moment Vellani discovered she had been chosen as Khan.

Marvel introduced their “Marvel Must Haves” initiative in January 2021, which exposes new toys, games, books, clothes, home décor, and other items tied to each episode of Ms. Marvel after it airs.  Additional video will be presented on Disney+ Day, November 12, 2021.

Ms. Marvel Season 1: How to Watch

Ms. Marvel season one will be accessible only on the Disney Plus streaming service and will not be available on any other platforms such as HBO Max, Netflix, or Amazon. The good news is that Disney Plus is available globally and without delay, so anybody can watch the latest MCU series on any platform at the same time as long as they have a Disney Plus subscription.

Ms. Marvel is a sort of spin-off of Captain Marvel, and it will set up Kamala Khan for her eventual appearance in Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels in February 2023 — as well as possibly appearing alongside Hawkeye’s Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) in the long-rumored Young Avengers project, which won’t happen until at least 2024.

Season one of Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney Plus in the summer of 2022.
