The Oscar Isaac-led series got off to a rousing start with an episode that introduced mystery after mystery after mystery. Fans will no doubt be left wondering when Moon Knight Episode 2 will be released after watching the last minutes. When will the next installment be released and at what time will it be released?
The spoilers for Moon Knight Episode 1, “The Goldfish Problem,” are in this article.
About Moon Knight Episode 1
It all started with Ethan Hawke’s Arthur Harrow executing some sort of ritual that will undoubtedly give you the chills as he breaks a glass and places it in his shoes to stride and wear it in Moon Knight Episode 1, The Goldfish Problem.
Steven Grant begins his day by getting out of bed while still restrained by shackles. He contacts his mother and informs her of the existence of his one-finned fish. He goes about his day, commuting to work, assisting children at the museum, dealing with his lousy boss, whom everyone despises at the moment, and accepting an invitation to go on a date with one of his coworkers, among other things. Upon leaving work, he approaches a statue named Crawley and speaks with it.
He gets home, dumps some sand on the end of his bed, tapes his door shut, and begins what he refers to as a “staying awake experiment,” in which he plays puzzles and reads books to keep himself awake. The Ennead is one of the books he reads over and over again. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, he awakens in the midst of a field, where he hears a voice telling him to return to his sleep; the subtitles indicate that it is Khonshu speaking to him.
He pulls out a golden hollow shell, the scarab, from his pocket, which appears to be highly sought after by mercenaries who have tracked him down. He wandered into town, where Arthur Harrow resides, and it appears that he determines a person’s fate based on their intents, which he determines by touching their palms and letting his scales dictate their fate. He claims that it was done in Ammit’s honor. When the guards inform Harrow that Grant has arrived, Harrow dismisses him as a mercenary and orders him to bring the scarab.
He identifies himself and appears to be having difficulty delivering it to Harrow, as his own body appears to be fighting it. In the blink of an eye, he was surrounded by the bodies of cult members. Steven was jerked awake on his bed, still tied up, and he observed that his fish had two fins at the time. After fleeing with a cupcake truck and engaging in an intensive cliffside chase, this blink-it-or-miss moment occurred to Steven once more.
He rushed the fish to the veterinarian, who determined that there was nothing wrong with it. His misery increased when he realized that he had missed his appointment because it was already Sunday, resulting in him losing two days of his life. He became aware that something wasn’t quite right in his flat and discovered a key and a phone with calls from a specific Layla, one of which was to a Duchamp but the rest were all to her. He called her, and she was surprised to learn that he was fine.
Steven was completely out of his mind when she addressed him as Marc, and this time he was involved in a chase at his apartment building with a big beast, which he survived but was shocked awake on the bus ride to work. The same beast followed him to his place of employment, where he encountered Harrow and his cult members. Harrow performed the same ritual on him, examining his face and determining whether or not he is a good man. What Harrow discovered was that Steven was a chaotic individual on the inside.
He went about his business at work, continuing to perform his tasks, and just as he was about to leave for the day, the thing that had been tormenting him arrived, leading him to a dead-end in the comfort room. Marc begs him in front of the mirror, pleading with him to let go and let him be the rescuer. Moon Knight appeared as a result of Steven’s actions.

Moon Knight trailer Updates
Unfortunately, when a Marvel series is airing on Disney+, there aren’t many hints regarding future chapters of the series. There is no trailer or title for Moon Knight Episode 2, and there is no news on when the episode will air.
What we do know is that Marc Spector has made his first public appearance since his retirement from the music industry. Hopefully, this means that viewers may look forward to Steven receiving some form of explanation for what has been happening to him.
Furthermore, Marc could be able to provide insight into why Arthur is so obsessed with the golden scarab in the first place. He claims to be working for the Egyptian goddess Ammit, who has the ability to rip evil from the face of the earth before it occurs. However, it is unclear where the scarab will fit into their overall strategy.
We’ll have to wait and see if the answers to those queries are provided in the next episode. In the meanwhile, there’s a lot to dissect in the first episode.
On Disney+, you may watch the first episode of Moon Knight, titled “Moon Knight.”
