Midnight Gospel Season 2 Release Date Status: Renewed Or Cancelled At Netflix?

The first season premiered on April 20, 2020, and introduced the world to space caster Clancy Gilroy (Duncan Trussell), who travels to various worlds to acquire information with the population just before they are wiped out by some catastrophic event, frequently with Clancy barely escaping with his life. The high-concept plot is complemented with exquisite animation to the point where you could watch the series without listening to the dialogue and simply admire the artwork on show.

The show explores a wide range of themes with equal parts humor and pathos, from drug legalization to religion. It’s possible that some of the show’s viewers are disappointed because Netflix has not announced the renewal of the show for a second season despite the fact that fans have gone so far as to establish a petition urging them to authorize more episodes. So, here is everything we currently know about the upcoming second season of The Midnight Gospel.

what will happen in the second season of “The Midnight Gospel”: Expected plot

While the focus of each episode is mostly defined by the podcast conversations on which they are based, the first season of The Midnight Gospel included some overarching plots that finished with what might have been Clancy’s death.

Clancy slips into the simulator shortly after the police fire a gun at him in the final episode and awakens in a new universe where he is reunited with all of the other space cast guests who died. In response to his question, they just advised him to “just be here now” when he questioned if he, too, was dead.

Regardless of whether Clancy survives season one, a second season of The Midnight Gospel might continue his trip into the afterlife, with new discussions about the meaning of life.
