Married At First Sight Season 14 Episode 16 Recap

Warning: Spoiler ahead

For Married at First Sight’s Season 14 couples, Decision Day is rapidly approaching, and in the latest episode, “Are You In, or Are You Out?” they’re contemplating their options as they prepare to make one of the most consequential decisions of their lives.

A Friend’s Viewpoint

While participants weigh their options, this is an ideal opportunity to consult with friends who can offer guidance. Noi is the first to meet with her friend Supri, with whom she shares her troubles with Steve.

Mostly, Noi is irritated because Steve believes she does not contribute enough to household chores and other responsibilities, especially since he is still unemployed. Supri, unsurprisingly, takes her friend’s side.

Olajuwon meets with his former coach and mentor to reminisce on his time with Katina, and while he is delighted, the newlywed is afraid that her education may obstruct his future ambitions.

Michael meets with his sisters to update them on his marriage to Jasmina, and the counsel they give him is to be honest about his feelings, as he notices his wife’s lack of physical connection. Michael’s thoughts parallel those of Jasmina, who expresses similar concerns to a friend, who offers similar advice about being open and honest.

Meanwhile, Mark’s relationship with Lindsey has improved, but he remains hesitant of his Decision Day option.

When Mark meets with his buddy Jon, he expresses his gratitude for Lindsey’s support, but is that enough to keep the marriage together? Jon advises him to measure the relationship based on the progress they’ve made, not the conflicts they’ve had in the past.

Steve feels enthusiastic about the future, despite Noi’s reservations when he meets with a friend to select a unique ring to demonstrate his love for her.

Steve’s pal admits that a large-ticket item such as a ring could demonstrate his level of commitment to the relationship. And Lindsey consults her “work wife,” Cara, regarding Mark.

While Lindsey admires Mark’s empathy, she worries if it’s enough to overcome her dislikes, and her friend advises her to assess the benefits and disadvantages.

Unusual Moments

In a strange twist, Lindsey has Mark take an at-home fertility test to determine if he is now capable of producing a child, given that they are both on the older end of the childbearing age spectrum. While Mark is initially perplexed, he is relieved to discover that he is absolutely well in that department following sample testing.

And, in a twist that viewers may not have anticipated at the start of the season, Olajuwon and Lindsey really get together to converse and be friends.

This is a far cry from their honeymoon quarrel. They both discuss their future plans, and when Lindsey brings up Mark’s inability to be forthright, Olajuwon suggests she ease off on her husband as a result.

Regarding Olajuwon, he expresses a wish to travel, and Lindsey warns him that he will regret ending things with Katina, even if they do not turn out the way he imagined.

The couples gather for a group trip and play flag football, which Katina dominates, but things take a frightening turn when Mark collapses with leg pain.

At first, some suspect a damaged ligament, but it turns out to be a muscle spasm, and Lindsey assists him in rehydrating with some water.

While discussing their connections, they vow to be appreciative of the experience regardless of how Decision Day unfolds.

The previous evening and morning

Lindsey and Mark spend their final night together before Decision Day cuddling with their cats in bed, both worried about what’s to come.

Steve expresses concern over Noi withholding her emotions from him, and while they joke about previous fights, he expresses concern that he should be able to ask her to do certain things when she expects it of herself. Noi, on the other hand, does not appear to be so certain.

When Katina and Olajuwon are packing their belongings, he informs her that regardless of her decision on Decision Day, he wants her to be selfish in order to obtain what she desires.

Mike and Jasmina are enthusiastic but are hard to accept the idea that Decision Day is rapidly approaching.

The episode finishes with the couples waving farewells to one another and fretting over the looming big choice. Keep an eye out for the Decision Day episode, which will air on May 11.
