Amy Schumer came up with the idea for her new Hulu comedy Life & Beth while she and her husband Chris Fischer were restoring a 1790s farm that had belonged to her family but had been abandoned. We were up there when I was pregnant [in 2019], and I had time to think and slow down and daydream,” Schumer told Entertainment Weekly at the time of her pregnancy in February of this year. “I started writing this story while I was in the location where my parents had gotten married. It just hit me like a tonne of bricks. “It felt like something I needed to get out of my system.”
When it came to creating and portraying the titular character, Schumer drew inspiration from her own life. She is a successful 39-year-old New York City wine distributor whose life takes a drastic turn, prompting her to rediscover herself on a farm, of all places. While the themes of the show are drawn from Schumer’s own life, “there is stuff that Beth does that actually happened,” the comedian, whose middle name is Beth, continued. “There’s a scene where she flashes a couple of guys,” says the director. That is exactly what happened to me. Additionally, Episode 9 contains a truly frightening scene.”
With the help of flashbacks to her teenage years, Beth begins to understand how she came to be who she is — and who she wants to be — by learning to express herself and creating a “bigger, bolder, and more authentic life.” At the end of the day, Schumer stated that the show is about letting go of shame and fear. In response to these early traumas, “we arm ourselves,” she explained to Entertainment Weekly. “It is about letting go and trusting and how to let yourself figure out how to be happy.”
Hulu has yet to decide whether to renew Life & Beth for a second season, but Schumer clearly has a wealth of other experiences to draw from — and she still has all of her teen journals to refer to in the event that she needs to jog her memory. With positive early reviews and a first-look deal with Hulu that Schumer has negotiated, it is likely that the series will be revived in the future. While you’re waiting for an announcement, here’s everything else you need to know.

Life and Beth Season 2 Plot
When Beth learned of her mother’s tragic and unexpected death during the first season of Life And Beth, she was devastated. The result was that Beth’s almost perfect life was turned completely upside down! Meanwhile, Matt and Beth were busy planning a funeral for Beth’s mother, who had passed away. Beth, on the other hand, was forced to revisit her past and take a fresh look at her life.
Because of this, Beth made the decision to alter the way she lived her life and to make genuine efforts to achieve her objective. Beth made the decision at the conclusion of the first season that she will no longer have any regrets about the decisions she has made in the past that have placed obstacles in her path. She made the decision to move forward by forgiving some old wrongdoers and letting a few people out of her life in order to move forward.
Now, when the Life And Beth comedy series returns for Season 2, the story will pick up right where it left off after the conclusion of Season 1. It will be centered on Beth as an adult and the changes she makes in her life in order to move forward in the direction of her desired outcome. It is also expected that the second season will show the ramifications of the decision she made at the end of the first season. Meanwhile, we can expect Life and Beth Season 2 to be every bit as amusing as, if not more so, than the first season.

Life and Beth Season 2 Trailer
The first season trailer for Life and Beth has already been released on YouTube. The show appears to be interesting because it focuses more on Beth (Amy Schumer) and her difficult life. She demonstrated how difficult life can be and how it can cause us to fall apart, but it is the comedy that has the greatest impact on us in order to get through it.
The release date of the season two trailer has not yet been confirmed. It will take some time, but it will be well worth it if Amy Schumer is appearing on the screen.
