Khufiya Plot

An employee of the Research & Analysis Wing is Krishna Mehra. While juggling her dual roles as a spy and a lover, she is tasked with finding the mole selling India’s defense secrets.

Khufiya Cast

Kufiya, which Vishal Bhardwaj directed and produced under the auspices of his Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures company in collaboration with Netflix, tells the tale of R&AW agent Krishna Mehra, who is tasked with finding the mole who is selling India’s defense secret.

The movie stars Tabu, one of Indian cinema’s most versatile actresses, whose performance in the just-released horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aryan is receiving praise. She portrays spy Krishna Mehra, who struggles with her dual personas of lover and spy. After “Maqbool” and “Haider,” “Khufiya” is the third film in which Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj have worked together. While Farhad Ahmed Dehlvi controls the camera, Vishal also produces the music for the movie.

In addition to Tabu, the movie also stars Ali Fazal of “Mirzapur” fame, Wamiqa Gabbi from Modern Love: Mumbai, veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi, Bangladeshi actress Azmeri Haque Badhon, and Shataf Figar in key roles.

Khufiya Official Teaser

The teaser for this spy thriller was released on September 26, 2021 by the film’s creators. The 2-minute teaser opens in the office of India’s External Intelligence Service, where we see Ali Fazal, who appears to be a government official, casually sitting in his cabin while rain pours outside and scary and suspicious background music plays.

We find Ali’s character opening a safe and photocopying a top-secret file, and it appears that whatever this man is doing is illegal and against the interests of the nation. He’s the one who’s leaking information outside of the bureau.

As the teaser ends, we hear Tabu’s voiceover saying in the background, “Woh sirf mera nahi, pure desh ka gaddar hai” (He is not just a traitor to me but to the whole country). The intriguing teaser clearly indicates that this is another thriller based on terrorism supported by Pakistan.
