Jurassic World 3 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Plot And More About Dominion

This summer, something monumental is set to stomp onto the big screen. Despite a one-year postponement, the Jurassic World trilogy’s third installment, titled Jurassic World Dominion (although many fans refer to it as Jurassic World 3), will finally be released in 2022 after a one-year hiatus. However, while fans have had to wait a little longer for the third Jurassic World film, director Colin Trevorrow has previously stated that “it will all be worth it.” It’s not just the dinosaurs that have us giddy with anticipation!

Jurassic World: the Fallen Kingdom is being billed as “the epic conclusion to the Jurassic era,” and it will bring together two Jurassic eras for the first time: the Triassic period and the Cretaceous period. The highly anticipated return of Jurassic Park alums Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill will round out the cast of Dominion, which will also include Jurassic World veterans Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.

According to Trevorrow, “There is just something really exhilarating, just from a generational standpoint, about being able to put all of these characters into a situation where they are again forced to not only survive together but make sure that we all don’t go extinct like the dinosaurs,” The Hollywood Reporter reported in 2021.

Before the action begins onscreen, here is your dino-mite guide to Jurassic World Dominion, which includes information on the film’s release date, cast members, trailer information, and more.

Jurassic World 3 release date

It has been announced that Jurassic World: Dominion will be released in theatres on June 10, 2022, a year after the film’s original June 2021 release date.

As previously stated, writer/director Colin Trevorrow has confirmed that the threequel will be completed prior to its theatrical release, so all we have to do now is cross our fingers and hope that it will not be subjected to yet another delay.

Filming began in February 2020 and was suspended in March, but the film was the first major blockbuster to resume production in the United Kingdom in July, and it is scheduled to be completed in November of that year.

In light of the fact that it’s bringing back the original cast (more on them later) and concluding the entire Jurassic saga up to this point, we’re expecting big things from the film, which we predict will be the most successful release of 2022.

Jurassic World 3 cast

In Jurassic World 3, Pratt and Howard will reprise their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively, as they did in the previous two films. As previously stated, the film will also feature the return of Dern, Neill, and Goldblum, who played Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant, and Dr. Ian Malcolm, respectively, in Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park, which was released in 1993.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Trevorrow previously stated that Dern, Neill, and Goldblum have “equal screen time” with Chris and Bryce, referring to their onscreen alter egos as “major characters from start to finish.”

A number of newcomers to the film’s cast, including DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, Scott Haze, and Campbell Scott, join an ensemble that includes BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Dr. Zia Rodriguez, Omar Sy as Barry Sembenè, and BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu.

Visitors can expect to see a variety of dinosaurs, including a return of the Dilophosaurus and Blue the Velociraptor, among others. According to Universal Pictures, Jurassic World Dominion will also include dinosaurs that have never been seen before.

Jurassic World 3 Plot

The trailer teases a world in which dinosaurs coexist with humans, which, unsurprisingly, causes some confusion. In the meantime, while Owen and Claire deal with the devastation, the original trio of Ian Malcolm, Alan Grant, and Ellie Sattler reunites to take on the dinosaurs for the second time.

“If dinosaurs lived among us, would you be safe?” director Colin Trevorrow said at CinemaCon. “If dinosaurs lived among us, would you be safe?” he added. “And the answer is a resounding no.”

It is unlikely that we will witness dinosaurs performing a Godzilla-style attack on major cities, however. In an interview with BirthMoviesDeath, Trevorrow said, “I just have no idea what would motivate dinosaurs to terrorize a city.” “They are unable to plan ahead of time. We currently have lethal predators in wild areas surrounding cities all over the world, and this is a problem. In urban areas, they do not go on pack hunts for humans as they do in rural areas. The world in which it is possible for a dinosaur to run out in front of your car on a foggy backroad or invade your campground in search of food is the world in which I get excited. In a world where dinosaur interaction is unlikely but possible – in the same way, that we keep an eye out for bears or sharks – we should be cautious.

‘We hunt animals, we traffic in animals, we herd animals, we breed animals, we invade their territory and pay the consequences, but we do not go to war with them.'” If that were the case, we would have been defeated in that war long ago.”

In an interview with MTV News, Chris Pratt confirmed the existence of a time jump, saying, “How are not only these dinosaurs, but this technology moving forward, going to affect the planet?” After that, it’s like, “Oh right…oh damn…,” and we move forward.

That time jump, as hinted at in “Battle at Big Rock,” will presumably have given the dinosaurs enough time to establish a foothold in the United States. Trevorrow provided additional details about the timeline to Screen Rant, including: “Almost everything I’ve ever thought about has always been in the present day. In other words, Big Rock takes place about a year or so after the Fallen Kingdom, when it was released in 2019, and the T-Rex has just emerged from the Sierra Nevada forest, where they have all taken refuge. It’s absolutely massive; it encompasses a significant portion of the state. And so she’s just been living in there, and they’ve been trying to apprehend her for what seems like an eternity. So it’s about four years later – it’s the year the movie is released, so it’s 2022 – when the movie is released.”

Also possible is that, during the time skip, Owen and Claire will have formed a surrogate family with kids Maisie Lockwood, who has been revealed to be a genetically identical clone of Jurassic Park co-founder Sir Benjamin Lockwood’s late daughter. Lockwood’s decision to create a replica of a real human will almost certainly have significant ramifications for the plot of Jurassic World 3: Dominion.

Indeed, Trevorrow has stated in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the new film will be a “science thriller.” According to him, “If I had to categorize each film,” Jurassic World was an action-adventure film, the Fallen Kingdom is a horror suspense film, and Jurassic World 3 will be a scientific thriller in the same vein as Jurassic Park.

We’re guessing that Lewis Dodgson’s BioSyn organization will be involved in that aspect of the story in some way – whether he’s interested in cloning dinosaurs or humans. Possibly, we’ll also get an answer to the question of whether or not Eli Mills (the businessman who betrayed Lockwood in the Fallen Kingdom) was getting assistance from outside sources.

Most significantly, it appears that the plot of Jurassic World 3: Dominion will complete the six-film saga that Steven Spielberg began in 1993. In terms of the third film, Bryce Dallas Howard explained to Cinemablend that the overall goal is to “bring the entire saga together.” The film will be on the sixth of the day, at the end of the day. Despite the fact that it is not necessarily the end of the Jurassic Park/World universe…

When asked by Collider if Jurassic World 3: Dominion would be the final installment in the franchise, long-time producer Frank Marshall responded with a categorical “no.”

“It’s the beginning of a new era,” Marshall went on to say. “The dinosaurs are now on the mainland with us, and I expect that they will be here for a long time,” says the author.
