The How I Met Your Mother revival, How I Met Your Father, has finally arrived after many rumors and a long wait! The series follows Sophie, played by Hilary Duff, as she tells her son about how she met his father in the 2020s in New York City. It is set in the same universe as the adored original sitcom. And yes, I can attest that the show is largely accurate as a single lady seeking to find love in the best city in the world. The biggest query, though, is: Who will Sophie end up dating? We’re already keeping our fingers crossed that there will be more episodes so we can find out.

How I Met Your Father Season 2 Release Date
We can make an educated guess based on the timeframe of the first episodes of How I Met Your Father season 2 even though Hulu has not yet officially announced a release date.
The show had its UK release put off until May so that it could debut as a comprehensive binge-worthy box set. The show had its US premiere in January 2022, where it aired weekly on streaming service Hulu.
The premiere date may depend on the method of distribution Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, the show’s creators, choose for their 20-episode sophomore run. Another choice is to divide the upcoming season into two parts.
We continue to switch positions,” Aptaker told TVLine. We’re wrapping up this season before pausing to discuss the best course of action.
A project like this moves incredibly quickly, he continued, and Hulu is eager to get additional episodes “sooner rather than later.” Season 2 is expected to start filming this summer.
All things considered, there is a good chance that we will see more episodes of How I Met Your Father before the year is up, especially considering the sitcom’s writers’ desire to create a holiday-themed episode.
If not, the show will probably return by no later than January 2023.
How I Met Your Father Season 2 Cast

For the record, Josh Peck has kind of, sort of, unofficially stated that the second season of the program will indeed feature a return for his character, Drew.
In August, he told Entertainment Tonight, “I guess it’s kind of unofficially official that yeah you can [expect to see Drew in season 2].”

Josh also stated that being a part of the show is “the finest,” and it appears that Hilary Duff deserves a lot of praise for making the experience so fantastic, at least in his eyes.
I’m fortunate to be Hilary’s buddy because she is a dream,” he continued. “I’ve known her for more than ten years, and just seeing the full cast, including the creator and all the performers, is a wonderful experience. I feel very fortunate to be a part of it.
Fans are also speculating about whether original cast members from season 1 of the revival, such as Cobie Smulders, who played Robin Scherbatsky in HIMYM, will play key roles in season 2.

It seems relatively safe to assume that, along with their varied business endeavors, the crew’s back-and-forth romantic relationships will continue to be a key feature in the new season. Of course, the crucial question still remains: Will Sophie and the boy’s father remain together in the future?

How Many Episodes Will There Be In Season 2 Of “How I Met Your Father”?
The major development for “HIMYF” season two is that it will be twice as big as season one! The news that season two will contain 20 episodes overall, as opposed to the first season’s 10 episodes, was also revealed along with the renewal.
