Over the course of seven seasons, “Grace and Frankie” has become one of Netflix’s most popular original series. Now is the moment for fans to say their final goodbyes, since Season 7 will be the final season of the sitcom.
The sitcom follows Grace Hanson (Jane Fonda) and Frankie Bergstein (Lily Tomlin) as they start as hesitant housemates dealing with their husbands’ hidden relationships.
The women became best friends, and the show has been packed with development and wild antics over the duration of its run. For now, Robert Hanson (Martin Sheen) and Sol Bergstein (Sam Waterston) had to deal with the ups and downs of post-divorce dating while trying to build a business of their own. Meanwhile, Grace’s children Mallory (Brooklyn Decker) and Brianna (June Diane Raphael), as well as Frankie’s sons Bud (Baron Vaughn) and Coyote (Ethan Embry), have been dealing with their own dramas and foibles.
What awaits fans of “Grace and Frankie” in the second half of the seventh season? So far, here’s what we know.

“It’s been a wild year and a half, and we could all use a little Grace and Frankie right now,” Netflix said in a statement. “As a bonus, Jane and Lily have given you the first four episodes of Grace and Frankie’s seventh and final season.”
The Cast of Grace And Frankie Season 7 Part 2: Who will be in it?
As said before, Tomlin, Fonda, Waterston, and Sheen will play their respective lead roles, as will Raphael, Decker, Vaughn, and Embry. Peter Gallagher is expected to make his return as Grace’s prison-bound new husband, Nick Skolka. Cora Vander Broek is also quite likely to return to her role as Karen Fischer, an FBI agent who has been investigating Nick’s case and is also a past associate of his. Millicent Martin is expected to continue her role as Joan-Margaret following her promotion from guest star to recurring character in Season 5 — she has already appeared in Season 7, Episode 2.
Grace’s four grandchildren from Mallory are expected to return (along with Coyote and Allison’s child), while Michael Charles Roman has been confirmed to reprise his role as Adam.
Peter Cambor, who played Barry, Brianna’s fiancé, and Lindsey Kraft, who played Allison Giampietro-Smikowitz, the mother of Bud’s children and his wife, are both set to return.
There is still no indication on whether any of Frankie’s prior suitors will return for the final season – the most frequently returning of which is Ernie Hudson’s Jacob, who has appeared on and off the show since the show’s beginning. Hudson has got a regular part in the upcoming “Quantum Leap” revival, which means his status for the series finale is in doubt.
The most interesting casting news involves a certain well-known blonde. Dolly Parton will star in the show in an untitled role. This will mark the first time in years that the main cast members of the 1980 big-screen comedy “9 to 5” will return in an acting capacity. Additional guests have been announced, including Hans Obma, Marc Grapey, and Jeanine Mason.
What will happen in Grace And Frankie Season 7 Part 2: The Storyline
Spoilers for Grace And Frankie Season 7 part 2!
At the sixth season’s conclusion, Grace found herself facing a future without Nick after he was arrested for his shady business practices. By Season 7, Episode 4, she begins to understand how much she misses being single. Regrettably, Nick is released from house arrest at the conclusion of the outing, forcing Grace to reintegrate herself into married life.
Grace wished for a little more time to secure the $50,000 Nick had stashed around the apartment before his arrest. Frankie and Grace had been trying to figure out how to steal the money from the penthouse without alerting the FBI, and they ended up putting it under the cushions of their couch. Joan-Margaret has already been enlisted in the girls’ scheme to launder the money, which means that additional people in their orbit will soon learn about their secret stash of cash.
Meanwhile, Sol and Robert deal with floods in their home and spend time in the penthouse before returning to their own quarters – which are shortly burglarized. They are still battling their own financial difficulties. And the children keep on trying to reduce parental tensions while going on their own adventures. How will things turn out for the Bergsteins and Hansons? Stay tuned in to discover out.
