Author Emily Bront, who is best known for her sole book Wuthering Heights, is profiled in Emily.
Her brief but eventful life is chronicled in the upcoming film as she works on her debut novel. It also looks at the familial connections that influenced her and her actual relationship with Weightman.
Along with a host of up-and-coming performers, Sex Education and Death on the Nile star Emma Mackey portrays the title character, a passionate author who passed away at the age of just 30.
One of many upcoming biopics this year is Emily. Others include Netflix’s Blonde, which stars Ana de Armas as Marilyn Monroe, and Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, which revives the memory of music legend Elvis Presley.
Emily release date

Emily Plot
The movie Emily portrays the imagined biography of one of the most well-known novelists in history, Emily Bront, according to Warner Bros. Emma Mackey plays Emily, a rebellious misfit who finds her voice and creates the literary masterpiece Wuthering Heights, in the movie.
Emily “explores the connections that inspired her, her raw, passionate sisterhood with Charlotte and Anne, her first agonizing, forbidden love for Weightman, and her care for her maverick brother whom she idolizes.”

Her work is soaked in such passion, feeling, anger, and strong brilliance. And I’m hoping that by giving her a fictional life, Emily Bronte will come back to life.

Emily Trailer
The trailer for Emily was released on August 11 by Warner Bros UK. The film’s cinematography is hauntingly beautiful and dark with an almost gothic appearance, which seems fitting when you compare it to the type of novel Emily went on to write. From an extremely dramatic shot of Emily standing in the thundering rain to a burning kiss exchanged within the glow of candlelight, this movie seems every bit as riveting as your standard period drama. In the trailer, Emily is depicted as the strange one of the family and is happily traversing the lengths of Yorkshire, terrifying everyone with her “ungodly” writing.
