Doom Patrol Season 4

Jeremy Carver created the American superhero television series Doom Patrol. Based on the DC Comics superhero team of the same name, the series stars Jane (Diane Guerrero), Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Vic Stone (Joivan Wade), Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer / Matthew Zuk), Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser / Riley Shanahan), and Chief (Timothy Dalton). Although Bowlby, Bomer, and Fraser reprise their roles from Titans, the two shows take place in separate timelines.

The series premiered on the DC Universe streaming service on February 15, 2019. The second season aired on both DC Universe and HBO Max, with episodes being released simultaneously on June 25, 2020. On September 23, 2021, a third season will be released exclusively on HBO Max. The series was renewed for a fourth season in October 2021, with a release date of December 8, 2022.

Doom Patrol Season 4 Release Date

The latest season of Doom Patrol premiered in September 2021. The following month, it was renewed for a fourth season. Given all of this, Season 4 will most likely premiere before the end of 2022.

There has been no official announcement of the Doom Patrol season 4 release date. Every year, we watch the series. This year also saw the release of Season 4, which is scheduled for December 8, 2022.

Doom Patrol Season 4 Plot

Doom Patrol stars Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Brendan Fraser, Matt Bomer, Timothy Dalton, and Joivan Wade and is available on HBO Max. Robotman aka Cliff Steele (Fraser), Negative Man aka Larry Trainor (Bomer), Elasti-Woman aka Rita Farr (Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Guerrero), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Wade) are the main characters in the superhero drama.

This motley crew of misfits band together under the leadership of mad scientist Niles Caulder, aka The Chief (Dalton). Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker culminates in a devastating loss in season three. The Doom Patrol is at a crossroads, and each member is struggling to reconcile who they are and who they want to be. When Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission — if only she could remember it — things become even more complicated.

Doom Patrol Season 4 Cast

The Doom Patrol’s surviving members will return for more action in season four, including Diane Guerrero (Orange Is the New Black) as Jane, a woman with multiple identities, each with their own unique ability.

April Bowlby (Two and a Half Men) is also set to return as Rita Farr, a former Hollywood actress cursed with powers that often render her gelatinous but can be very useful when under control.
After celebrating the renewal of Doom Patrol with a celebratory tweet proclaiming, “It’s a good day!” it appears that White Collar’s Matt Bomer will return as Larry Trainor (aka Negative Man).
Meanwhile, The Mummy’s Brendan Fraser will make another appearance as Cliff Steele, a former NASCAR driver who was transformed into a cyborg after a horrific racing accident.

Interestingly, the DC Universe is doubling down on Fraser, as he has been cast as a villain in HBO Max’s upcoming Batgirl film, which will reportedly take place in a different continuity than Doom Patrol.

Joivan Wade (The First Purge) will also reprise his role as Victor Stone aka Cyborg, arguably the team’s most prolific member, as a character with strong ties to both the Justice League and the Teen Titans.

Last but not least, Michelle Gomez (The Flight Attendant) appears to be returning as the mysterious Madame Rouge, who made a strong first impression in the third season.

In contrast, former James Bond star Timothy Dalton appears to be nearing the end of his career, as Doom Patrol founder The Chief died of old age at the start of season three, leaving the team devastated.

About The Previous Season

Dorothy’s battle with the Candlemaker results in the Chief’s (Timothy Dalton) death, though his spirit tells Cliff (Brendan Fraser) that he can’t fully move on until his body is incinerated. A new villain enters the fray as each member of the team deals with their grief and continues to struggle with their personal dilemmas. Madam Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in town on a time machine with a mission, but she has no idea what it is.

The Doom Patrol suffers many afflictions throughout the season: they die, go to purgatory, escape hell with the help of the Dead Detective Boys, become zombies, eat the Chief’s brains as zombies to become human again—and that’s just the beginning. The show is a zany, strange ride that stands out among DC shows.

Were-butts launched an attack in the second half of the season. By the end of the season, Negative Man (Matt Bomer/Larry Zuk) had merged with a space parasite, Vic had become fully human but had lost his powers, Crazy Jane appeared to be Kay again but without powers, Rita was bent on vengeance, and Cliff’s robot body had been taken over by the Brotherhood of Evil’s The Brain as Cliff continued to deal with Parkinson’s disease.
