It looks like Jennifer Garner had a busy schedule this weekend, while her ex-husband Ben Affleck quietly got married to Jennifer Lopez. The Catch Me If You Can actress had a great summer vacation in Lake Tahoe, California, where she went parasailing, rode her bike around, and won at life overall.
Jennifer used her Instagram Story to tell her 13.3 million followers about her adventures. They saw the performer dipping her toes in beautiful, light blue water and a smiley selfie of Jen wearing a helmet and being surrounded by nature. S’cute!
Ben and J.Lo, on the other hand, went to Las Vegas for a very chill drive-through wedding at the famous Little White Chapel on Saturday night around midnight. A source told Us Weekly after the wedding, “They both thought it was a fun and easy way to get married.”
Just to remind you, Ben and the Marry Me actor got engaged for the first time in 2002 when he asked her to marry him with a very famous pink ring that is still on my Pinterest board to this day. But they broke up in 2004 and stayed friends until J.Lo broke up with her ex-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez last April and they started dating again.
As for the other Jennifer, whose real name is Jen Garner, she married Ben in 2005, just one year after he broke up with J.Lo for the first time. (If you’re having trouble keeping up, I can assure you that this is basically live footage of me trying to put the pieces together the first time:)
Anyway! Ben and Jennifer were married for 10 years and had 3 children together: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. In 2015, they announced that they were splitting up, and their divorce was finalized in late 2018.
Ben went on to date other people, like Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus and actor Ana de Armas. Jen Garner, on the other hand, has been dating businessman John Miller in a more low-key way for several years.
In May, a source told Us Weekly, “[Jennifer] loves how little John cares about being in the spotlight or being a Hollywood scenester.” They also said that their relationship is “very different from Ben and J. Lo’s in that way.” It’s just not their style to act silly for the cameras or worry about what events to go to together. Jennifer Garner is really doing well in life, and to be honest, I’m all for it!
