Daredevil Is Coming Back To The MCU Alongside Another Netflix Hero

Fans are overjoyed that Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is now a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home featured Matt Murdock’s unexpected comeback, but that wasn’t the Man Without Fear’s final appearance.

As we speculated, Cox will play Daredevil once more in the upcoming Disney Plus program Echo. Fans will recall that May Lopez, aka Echo, who debuted in Hawkeye last year when she worked for her “uncle” Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio repeating his Netflix role), will be remembered by fans.

Echo appeared to shoot Kingpin in the face at close range as Hawkeye finally ended, accused him of killing her father. Kingpin appears to still be alive and well, though. More precisely. The Hollywood Reporter claims that Cox and D’Onofrio will both return as Echo. This will mark the first time since last year that Daredevil and his adversary will appear together on television.

Another story asserts that Echo will see the return of yet another Netflix Marvel hero as if that weren’t exciting enough. According to the Weekly Planet podcast, a subplot in the upcoming season of the show has Daredevil looking for a “former ally” named Jessica Jones.

Jessica Jones on Netflix came to a fairly depressing conclusion when our superhero-turned-private eye was forced to turn her closest friend Patsy Walker over to the police for abusing her abilities to kill a man. It was a whole outfit.

The fact that Cox and D’Onofrio are returning suggests that Krysten Ritter will once again play Jessica Jones, even though these stories do not explicitly state this. How much of the Netflix series will be covered by Disney Plus also interests me.

Anyone who is familiar with Jessica Jones will understand that the experiences she had weren’t what one would anticipate hearing about in a Disney program. Our eagerly anticipated Netflix Marvel reunion will have to wait until Echo premieres in 2023.
