The anime series Danmachi, better known as “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon,” has been very popular since its first season, and with every new season, the series gets better, so the fans are always eager to watch the new season of Danmachi.

Danmachi Season 5 Release Date and Time

After Season 4 Episode 11 airs on TOKYO MX and BS11 channels on September 29, 2022, a “important news” will be revealed, according to the official DanMachi Twitter. It appears that this statement will be made on October 1, 2022, at approximately 2:00 AM JST (or 1 PM EST on September 30, 2022).

The gap between new episodes is thankfully not too long for anime enthusiasts. According to reports, 2023 will see the release of DanMachi Season 4 Episode 12. Instead of being classed as the fifth season, the second half of the fourth season needs to be referred to as DanMachi Season 4 Part 2.

It is anticipated that the official title for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? will be Deep Chapter: Calamity Arc, much like how the fourth season was titled New Chapter: The Labyrinth Arc and DanMachi Season 4 Part 2 was subtitled. Season 5 will make reference to the Freya Familia and/or the Great Faction War (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka?). Light novel Volumes 16 through 18 make up the new DanMachi story arc (at least).

Where to watch Danmachi Season 5

On Crunchyroll and VRV, the third season of the anime series was available for streaming. Only HIDIVE is offered to stream the fourth season.

Want to see Is It Bad to Approach Women in a Dungeon? In the future, will Season 5 be streamed? Sentai Filmworks is the streaming licensor, meaning the DanMachi anime series will sadly probably continue to be a HIDIVE exclusive.

The explanation is because once Sony acquired both Crunchyroll and Funimation, Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix lost the streaming license rights. DanMachi Season 1 was taken off Crunchyroll in late March 2022, while Sentai Filmworks reserved the fourth season for HIDIVE.

DanMachi Seasons 2 and 3 were still available to watch on Crunchyroll as of August 2022, but it’s possible that the licensing deals will run out eventually. When the licensing agreements changed, Netflix USA and Hulu both stopped streaming the episodes. Previously, Netflix USA was only streaming Season 1, while Hulu was streaming all of Season 2 at one point.

Danmachi Storyline

Danmachi, also known as List of Is It Bad to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, is an anime series. has been active for several seasons. A little boy named Bell Cranel, an adventurer and the lone survivor of the Hestia Familia, serves as the series’ primary character. Only 14 years old, Bell.

Although the seasons before were thrilling and fascinating, this one exceeds them all. The animation isn’t very good, and it occasionally behaves erratically. Overall, though, it’s bearable, and the story itself is intriguing enough to make up for any flaws in the medium.

This season does not exclude a sizable amount of information from the light novels, in contrast to prior seasons. Additionally, the voice actors are giving excellent performances as usual, especially Saori Hayami-san as Ryuu.

Danmachi Season 5 Cast

Because the majority of the plot revolves around the main characters, many of the side characters will not appear in season 5. Danmachi’s Season 5 cast (voice) is currently unknown. However, we anticipate that the following voice actors will return in the next season.

  • Inori Minase as Hestia
  • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Bell Cranell
  • Saori Nishi as Ais Wallenstein
  • Haruka Tomatsu as Eina Tulle
  • Yōko Hikasa as Freya
  • Sma Sait as Hermes

DanMachi Season 4 English dub will be released in the fall of 2022.

Because the majority of the plot revolves around the main characters, the new DanMachi Season 5 cast members will be relatively minor side characters.

Japanese voice actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka portrayed Bell Cranel, Inori Minase portrayed Hestia, and Saori Oonishi portrayed Ais Wallenstein in the first three seasons. Bryson Baugus and Shelley Calene-Black provided the voices for Bell and Ais in the DanMachi English dub.

During Otakon 2022 on July 30, 2022, HIDIVE revealed that the DanMachi Season 4 English dub release date would be in Fall 2022.

Since HIDIVE has taken over in-house dubbing for its exclusive titles, an English dub of DanMachi Season 5 is likely in the near future. Let’s hope they follow in the footsteps of Crunchyroll’s SimulDub release schedule.
