Fans of the ABC show Big Sky can now see Reba McEntire for the first time in the new trailer for the third season. Season 3 will come out in September, which means the new season will be out soon.

This season, there is a lot on ABC that fans are sure to enjoy. Jensen Ackles is also joining the cast. He will help Kylie Bunbury‘s Cassie Dewell and Katheryn Winnick’s Jenny Hoyt in the show’s latest action-packed plot.

The official name of the new season is Deadly Trails, and the trailer gives us our first look at how dangerous the trails will be in Big Sky Season 3.

Big Sky Season 3 Release Date Details

The network has confirmed that the show will be back this year by saying that new episodes of Big Sky Season 3 will start on September 21, 2022. The show used to air on Thursdays after the long-running drama Grey’s Anatomy. Now, it will air on Wednesdays at 10/9c.

In the trailer, McEntire’s character talks about the part of Montana where the third season of Big Sky takes place. She says, “Welcome to Montana, where the horizon never ends and everyone is friendly and just wants to do the right thing.”

Cast Details Of Big Sky Season 3

Season 3 will add some big names to the cast, and one of them gets top billing in the new Deadly Trails trailer. Reba McEntire, who was last seen in Barb and Star Go Vista Del Mar as the unforgettable Trish, will play Sunny Barnes, a backcountry outfitter whose customers have a bad habit of going missing. The character she plays is called a “mercurial matriarch” in an ABC bio.

Jensen Ackles of Supernatural is joining the cast as the new sheriff Beau Arlen. This was first hinted at in the last season’s finale. Luke Mitchell (Blindspot) will play Sunny’s son Cormac. Henry Ian Cusick (Lost) will play tech executive Avery. Seth Gabel (Fringe) will play Walter, a Montana hermit. Anirudh Pisharody (9-1-1) and Madalyn Horcher (Doom Patrol) will play a New York couple who end up in the woods.

Bunbury and Winnick are also coming back to the show. Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) and J. Anthony Pena (The Oath), who plays Tonya and Mo, respectively, have been made regulars on the show.
