Better Call Saul Season 6: Confirmed Release Date, Plot & Cast Revealed!

Jimmy McGill’s final ride is almost here. Better Call Saul season 6 will be the final season of the show, and it will finally reveal the transformation of loveable up-and-coming lawyer Jimmy McGill into scummy criminal (emphasis on criminal) lawyer Saul Goodman. If Breaking Bad was the narrative of one man’s transformation from Mr. Chips to Scarface, Better Call Saul is the story of one man trapped between the idealized version of himself that he knows he can be and the less than the reputable version of himself that the rest of the world sees. This season, the idealized version will lose, but he will undoubtedly go down swinging.

In an official statement, showrunner Peter Gould said about Better Call Saul’s last season:

“From the beginning of Better Call Saul, my aim was to tell the full story of our conflicted and compromised hero, Jimmy McGill — and now AMC and Sony are making that dream a reality.” We are eternally grateful to the fans and critics who have made this trip possible. We start work on the sixth and final season next month, and we’re going to do everything we can to stick the landing.”

The sixth and last season is now in the can, and we can’t wait to see if the actors and crew can genuinely stick the landing. Here’s everything we know about Better Call Saul season 6 so far.

Better Call Saul is finally set to be released on Monday, April 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC Plus in the United States, following a nearly two-year wait, a forced delay due to the pandemic, and a significant health scare for star Bob Odenkirk, among other things. Better Call Saul Season 6 Release Date

The fact that Better Call Saul season 6 will be divided into two parts is a crucial piece of information to be aware of. The first seven episodes of the season’s thirteen episodes will premiere on April 18. July 11 will mark the start of the final six episodes of the series (and July 12 in the UK). Prepare to say goodbye for a very long time.

Better Call Saul Season 6 Cast

After suffering a heart attack on the set of Better Call Saul season 6, Bob Odenkirk has recovered and completed filming on the sixth season. Kim Wexler, played by Rhea Seehorn, is credited with saving his life, and he attributes this to her quick thinking and actions. In other words, we know at least two of the cast members that will appear in the upcoming final season!

Fan favorites include Jonathan Banks’ Mike Ehrmantraut and Giancarlo Esposito’s Gus Fring, as well as Michael Mando as Nacho Vargo, Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, and Tony Dalton in the role of the enigmatic Lalo Salamanca will be returning to the show as well. In fact, it has been revealed that the Salamanca twins, Luis and Daniel Moncada, as well as Mark Margolis, who will reprise his role as the elder Hector Salamanca, and even Raymond Cruz, who will play the wild card of the family, Tuco Salamanca, will return to the show.

Here are some of the other returning cast members you may look forward to seeing:

  • Huell Babineaux, a close associate of Saul, is played by Lavell Crawford.
  • Rich Schweikart, a partner at Schweikart & Cokely, is played by Dennis Boutsikaris.
  • Clifford Main, managing partner at Davis & Main, is played by Ed Begley Jr.
  • Don Eladio Vuente, the leader of the Juarez drug gang, is played by Steven Bauer.
  • Juan Bolsa, a member of the Juarez drug gang, is played by Javier Grajeda.
  • Domingo “Krazy-8” Molina, a trader for the Salamancas, is played by Maximino Arciniega.
  • Victor, Gus’s henchman, is played by Jeremiah Bitsui.
  • Tyrus Kitt, Gus’ henchman, is played by Ray Campbell.
  • Nacho’s father, Manuel Varga, is played by Juan Carlos Cantu.
  • Tina Parker plays Francesca Liddy, Saul’s receptionist, in the television series.
  • Stacey Ehrmantraut, Mike’s daughter-in-law, is played by Kerry Condon.
  • Kaylee Ehrmantraut, Mike’s granddaughter, is played by Juliet Donenfeld.
  • There’s also the prospect of seeing additional Breaking Bad characters, such as David Costabile’s Gale Boetticher, who appeared on the show.
  • Lydia Rodarte-Quayle, the executive of Madrigal Electromotive, is played by Laura Fraser.
  • Hank Schrader is played by Dean Norris.

Steven Michael Quezada as Steven “Gomey” Gomez will make an appearance, although the late Robert Forster will be missed as relocator extraordinaire Ed Galbraith, which will be a sad loss. The big issue on everyone’s mind is whether or not we’ll see cameos from Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who played Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, respectively, but we’ll have to wait and see.
