She’s All That
She’s All That, starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Lee Cook, was all the rage in the 1990s and early 2000s, and it’s making a comeback on Netflix, already reaching the top 5 most viewed films this week. The plot revolves around Zack, a popular teen who has recently had his heart broken by his famous girlfriend, so he makes a bet with his friends to turn a socially awkward girl into the high school’s next prom queen.
Along for the Ride
Based on Sarah Dessen’s 2009 romance novel of the same name, this young adult film explores the relationship of two strangers who fill a void in each other’s lives. One is a free spirit, while the other is tightly wound. When Auden meets Eli, he helps her let go of her perfect life by making a bucket list of things she’s always wanted to do, such as go to prom, break into abandoned buildings, and go for a midnight swim. Along for the Ride is an easy feel-good movie to watch at home on those spa nights.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ one of the most recent Netflix Originals to make this list, is a cheeky teenage romance drama with a lot of unboxed surprises. Lara Jean is a high school adolescent who is hesitant to commit to a long-term relationship. As it turned out, she had written love letters to her crushes over the years but had never mailed them. Lara’s sister Kitty, seeing her sister’s plight, posts all of the letters to those crushes, resulting in plenty of awkwardness later on. Only one of those crushes would eventually be Lara’s. The characterization is refreshing, as is the story, which breaks the teenage dramedy mould.
Five Feet Apart
‘Five Feet Apart,’ a romantic drama film written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis, stars Haley Lu Richardson, Cole Sprouse, and Moisés Arias. Justin Baldoni’s directorial debut revolves around Stella, a young adult with cystic fibrosis who has to live a very limited life due to her condition. While she has always followed all of the rules, things take an unexpected turn when she meets Will, who is also suffering from the same condition as she is. As their romance develops, the couple finds it increasingly difficult to maintain the restrictive lifestyle that has been imposed on them thus far.
The Kissing Booth trilogy
The Kissing Booth follows the life of Elle (Joey King), a high school student who develops feelings for her best friend’s bad boy older brother Noah. The problem is that they have a best friend list of rules that prohibits them from dating each other’s relatives… What went wrong at their school’s Kissing Booth fundraiser?

Based on E.L. James’s best-selling novels, 50 Shades of Grey follows Anastasia, who fills in for a friend to interview a businessman named Christian Grey. They quickly fall in love and begin a steamy relationship, which soon reveals a dark past he has kept hidden for so long.
The Perfect Date
Noah Centineo appears to be the poster boy for rom-coms, with yet another film in which he plays the lead. ‘The Perfect Date’ is about a dating app created by two friends to look good on their college applications. The app allows the client to specify what kind of date they want: a poet, a musician, a warm and friendly guy, someone with specific tastes, mannerisms, or similar interests, and so on. The story depicts not only the highs and lows of friendship, but also how we learn to accept ourselves and come into our own. This film may appear predictable, but it has an undeniable feel-good factor.
