Babylon Berlin is a neo-noir television series set in Berlin. Based on Volker Kutscher’s books, Tom Tykwer, Achim von Borries, and Hendrik Handloegten created, wrote, and directed this film.

The story begins in Berlin in 1929, during the final years of the Weimar Republic. Gereon Rath, a Cologne cop on a covert mission to apprehend an extortion ring, and Charlotte Ritter, a cop by day and a flapper by night, star in the film

On October 13, 2017, the series premiered on Sky 1, a German-language entertainment channel. The first season consisted of sixteen episodes, eight from Season 1 and eight from Season 2.

Season 3 premiered on Sky 1 on January 24, 2020. Season 4 (winter 1930-1931) began filming in 2021 and is scheduled to premiere in 2022.

What Will the Fourth Season of Babylon Berlin Be About?

Begin at the end of Season 3. The season ended when the global financial system collapsed in 1929. Gereon used a lot of morphine to get back into trouble. Even if the next season takes place in 1931, Gereon is still likely to be addicted to opiates.
Gereon and Charlotte will be featured in Season 4 because they finally kissed in Season 3. “Express” spoke with co-creator Henk Handloegten, who confirmed that the show’s storyline would continue in season 4.

The criminal story in Season 4 will be based on Volker Kutscher’s third “Babylon Berlin” book, “Goldstein.”

Gereon examines Abraham Goldstein, a fictitious American mobster who moves to Berlin and attempts to take over the city’s criminal underworld (FBI)

“The Fatherland Files,” Kutscher’s fourth “Babylon Berlin” book, appears to be used in Season 4. Other sources are likely to be used as well.

Gereon’s job is to investigate a suspicious murder that may be connected to the Nazi party. Whether or not “The Fatherland Files” is made into a movie for Season 4, Gereon and Charlotte will become more involved with the Nazi party.

Who’s in the cast of Babylon Berlin season 4?

For the fourth season of “Babylon Berlin,” only one new cast member has been announced. Mark Ivanir will join the show as a regular cast member, according to Deadline. Among the shows and films in which the Ukrainian-Israeli actor has appeared are “Homeland,” “Transparent,” and “The New Pope,” as well as “The Terminal” and “Get Smart.” Because Ivanir is the only major newcomer to the cast, we’re confident that he’ll be the new big bad for Season 4—for more information, see the storyline section below.

Gereon and Charlotte, as portrayed by Volker Bruch and Liv Lisa Fries, will almost certainly return. Otherwise, it’s safe to assume that the majority of the show’s regular cast members will return. After being presumed dead during World War I, Gereon’s long-lost brother Anno triumphantly returned in Season 3. Gereon and Anno’s wife Helga Rath, who began dating after the war, had to deal with the fallout. Anno and Helga, as played by Hannah Herzsprung and Jens Harzer, will undoubtedly return.

Miel Matievi is also expected to return in Season 4 as the Armenian, the nightclub owner in charge of Berlin’s criminal underworld. Ronald Zehrfeld will almost certainly reprise his role as the Armenian’s partner, Walter Weintraub.
