How did Shane Farley meet Giada De Laurentiis?
They met two years before they started dating while working on FABLife, a cooking show hosted by De Laurentiis. For 15 years, Farley was married to Jennifer Giamo, a New York fitness trainer, while De Laurentiis was married to fashion designer Todd Thompson.

Farley divorced Giamo in 2015, but the word of his newfound relationship with De Laurentiis spread quickly. De Laurentiis, like Farley, was married to Thompson for 12 years before their divorce in 2015.

Giada’s Relationship History
Giada De Laurentiis has only had one prominent public relationship since becoming one of the Food Network’s most popular chefs. For eleven years, De Laurentiis was married to Anthropologie fashion designer Todd Thompson. The couple met while De Laurentiis was a UCLA anthropology major (irony, anyone?). They later married in 2003 and had a daughter, Jade Marie De Laurentiis. De Laurentiis and Thompson did not intend to have children at first; in fact, De Laurentiis admits that she preferred to focus on her career.
When De Laurentiis became pregnant unexpectedly at the age of 37, they decided to start a family despite their concerns about raising a child. The couple revealed that they named their daughter Giada after Giada herself because Giada is Italian for jade.
The couple had been together for twenty-five years, including an eleven-year marriage, before filing for divorce in 2014, which was finalized in 2015. Giada has spoken openly but indirectly about her divorce. The multiple scandals surrounding De Laurentiis’ infidelity, as well as the enormous success of De Laurentiis’ career overshadowing Thompson’s, are likely to have played a role in the couple’s divorce.
