She Married Her First Husband, Mutt Lange, In 1993

Robert John “Mutt” Lange, Shania’s first husband, is 73 years old. Imdb says that he is a music composer and producer from Zambia who has worked on a number of well-known soundtracks and hit singles.

He also wrote and produced many of Shania’s hit songs with her, like “Any Man of Mine” and “You’re Still the One, Man!” According to CNN, I feel like a woman, but that doesn’t impress me much.

Mutt reached out to Shania in 1993 after hearing some of her songs on her first album. The Daily Mail UK says that Shania’s career quickly took off after the two started working together.

Six months after they met, their relationship turned romantic, and they got married in December 1993. Shania and Mutt’s only son, Eja, was born in 2001. Eja is pronounced “Asia.” He’s 20 years old now.

Aarp says that when Shania’s voice started to get weak, she thought her career was over and moved to Switzerland to raise her daughter, Eja.

Before Mutt told Shania that their marriage was over, they had been married for 14 years. People said that the two broke up in 2008.

CNN says that this happened around the same time that Shania had left the spotlight and was having trouble singing because of the damage to her vocal cords caused by her Lyme disease.
