Emily Ratajkowski is ready to legally move on from her marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard.

According to Source obtained by E! News on Sept. 9, the supermodel, 31, officially filed for divorce from her husband of four years on Sept. 8 in New York County Supreme Court. This formal step to end her marriage comes just over two months after the news first came out that she and her husband were splitting up.

“Emily’s really sad about it because of their son, but she’s trying to move on and stay positive,” an insider who worked with Emily recently told E! News. “It’s been a few weeks, and she’s still upset but taking it day by day.”

The actress from “I Feel Pretty” and the producer have a son named Sylvester Apollo Bear. He was born in March 2021. Emily wrote on Instagram at the time, “Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us on Earth.” “Sly showed up on March 8, 2103. It was the most strange, beautiful, and full of love morning of my life.”

Emily and Sebastian got married in a small ceremony at a New York City courthouse three years before Sly showed up.

In February 2018, she told the people who follow her on Instagram, “Sooo, I have a surprise.” “Today I got married.”

Emily and Sebastian haven’t talked about their breakup in a formal way, but she’s been talking about relationship rules on social media for the past few months.

In fact, Emily just talked about the effects of sexism in relationships a few days ago when she replied to a TikTok video. “In a patriarchy, there’s this idea that men should ‘get women,’ ‘get them,’ and ‘pull them like they’re something to own,” she wrote on September 5. “As someone who just got single and is thinking about dating and other things, I’ve really seen that with my friends and in the talk about it.”

Instead, Emily said, these talks should be about having a “mutually beneficial relationship between two people that could lead to love.”
