According to ESPN, Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka may face a disciplinary suspension from the NBA following allegations of an intimate relationship with a member of his staff.
According to the report, Udoka’s suspension could keep him out of the NBA for the entire season, which begins in less than a month.
Given the nature of the allegations, some Celtics fans are wondering if Ime Udoka has a girlfriend or if the Celtics coach is married.
Is Ime Udoka Married?
Udoka is not married, despite being in a long-term relationship.
Udoka’s girlfriend is veteran actress Nia Long, with whom he has been publicly dating since 2010. The couple welcomed their first child, a boy named Kez Sunday Udoka, in 2011.

According to the outlet, Nia and Ime were introduced by a mutual friend in 2010 and have been inseparable since then. Ime and Nia went on to have a son, Kez Sunday, in 2011 and have remained supportive of one another throughout their careers.
“We both have beautiful careers,” Nia said after Ime was named head coach in Boston, according to People. “I think what makes it work for us is that we give each other the space and time we need to do what we need to do individually and together.”
Nia was also a regular at the 2022 NBA Finals game, cheering on Ime and the Boston Celtics.
However, given Ime’s cheating scandal, it’s unclear whether Ime and Nia’s relationship will last. Interestingly, Nia has been noticeably silent since news of the scandal broke.
