Let’s step into a magical world of surprises! The recent baby bump reveal from Nelly and Ashanti feels like something out of a dream. But is it real? Let’s dig deeper into this enchanting announcement and uncover all the delightful details behind this dreamy moment.
Nelly And Ashanti’s Dreamy Baby Bump Reveal
At a marketing conference in Miami, the “Foolish” singer flaunted her baby bump in a stunning blue outfit, only a day after announcing she was having her first child with fiance Nelly.
Ashanti stood on a beachside rooftop wearing bold gold earrings and her long hair pulled up in a ponytail in a video that she shared to her Instagram Story on April 18. The 43-year-old panned down to reveal her expanding bump in her form-fitting, sapphire-colored dress as the wind blew across her updo.
Ashanti just tagged Nelly, 49, whom she confirmed her engagement to on the same day she revealed she was expecting a baby, and added a heart emoji to the amazing video.
Ashanti didn’t just show off her baby bump recently. The “Rock Wit U” singer also made a big announcement about her pregnancy. She shared a video of herself getting ready for a performance, and even included lyrics from her 2002 song “Baby.” When someone asked her how much time she needed, Ashanti jokingly said in the video, “I’m gonna need about nine months.”
Ashanti, a first-time mother, acknowledged that she had been desiring this experience for a very long time.
She said, “This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation,” to Essence, the magazine that first revealed her engagement on April 17. “Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience.”
Regarding Nelly, who is already the father of his adopted children, Shawn and Sydney Thomas, who are the offspring of his late sister Jackie Donahue, as well as son Cornell Haynes III, 25, and daughter Chanelle, 30, with ex-Channetta Valentine, the “Ride Wit Me” rapper expressed a similar opinion about his first marriage.
He declared, “I’ve never been married,” during a Boss Moves with Rasheeda episode in September. “My goal is to die married—it’s not to have been married. Do you see what I’m saying? When I make that oath, tellin’ you, death do us part for real. You know what I’m saying? But I think the goal is to leave this earth knowing that you had somebody that loved you and was with you.”
