Natalie Herschlag was born in Jerusalem on June 9, 1981, to Polish, Austrian, and Russian Jewish parents. Shelley (née Stevens), an American homemaker who also acts as Portman’s manager, and Avner Hershlag, an Israeli-born doctor, are her parents.     Her paternal grandparents were Jewish immigrants to Israel, while her maternal grandparents were American Jews.

Portman and her family stayed in Washington, D.C. for a while before moving to Connecticut in 1988 and then to Long Island in 1990. Portman went to Rockville, Maryland’s Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School while living in Washington.

Hebrew is her first tongue. She studied at the Solomon Schechter Day School of Nassau County, a Jewish elementary school while residing on Long Island.

She attended the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts on a regular basis and studied ballet and modern dance at the American Theater Dance Workshop.

Portman has remarked about her early years, “I was a naive, naive naive naive naive .” “I’m not like the other kids. I was more forward-thinking. I knew what I liked and wanted, and I worked extremely hard to achieve them. I was a serious young man.”

A Revlon agency discovered Portman in a pizza restaurant when she was ten years old and asked her to become a child model. She declined the offer but took use of the opportunity to get an agency.

She auditioned for Ruthless!, an off-Broadway musical about a teenager who is willing to commit murder in order to obtain the lead in a school play, in 1992.

Portman and Britney Spears were cast as understudies for Laura Bell Bundy, the lead of the film.

Is Natalie Portman Pregnant?

Natalie Portman hit back at pregnancy rumors, and she also had some choice words for anyone who openly mocked her body.

When is it OK to publicly guess that a lady is pregnant based on her appearance? Never. Never is the answer.

Natalie Portman was the subject of such speculations on Thursday, Feb. 4, according to a Page Six news report that includes paparazzi images of the Oscar winner walking in Sydney, where she is shooting Thor: Love and Thunder.

“Hey, so I’m not pregnant at all…” In a rare Instagram Story post on Friday, Feb. 5, Portman, 39, wrote, “…but it appears that speculating and commenting on a woman’s body form is still acceptable in 2021? @nypost, you can do better.”

The actress, who has a 9-year-old son Aleph and a 3-year-old daughter Amalia with husband Benjamin Millipied, has been the subject of pregnancy speculations in the news on several occasions in recent years. Many other celebrities have done the same.

While many of them eventually confirmed that they were expecting, others went out of their way to publicly refute the reports.

And one actress used a great chance to teach people about health. In 2018, Monica Potter, who had been on Parenthood and was then 46 and a mother of three, posted a photo of herself with a big belly and the words “I have something to share.”

Natalie Portman was spotted out and about in Sydney on Thursday, ostensibly with a baby bump.

Portman, 39, is now filming “Thor: Love and Thunder” in Australia alongside Chris Hemsworth, a Disney/Marvel veteran. She looked ready for the workout in a blue tank top and leggings, sporting a baseball and de rigeur mask.

For the next movie in the hit Marvel franchise, Natalie Portman will take up Thor’s hammer.

While it may seem strange for Portman to be in the way of her family while filming an ostensibly action-packed role, it is not unheard of for the movie to work around her. For example, Gal Gadot reshot “Wonder Woman” while 5 months pregnant, and her outfit was fitted with a green insert that was then CGI’ed out in post-production.

Set photographs supposedly from “Love and Thunder” were seen on Twitter this week, though Portman is riding a horse and wearing a big sweatshirt in the lone shot from the set, which either reinforces or dismisses the possibility of a hidden pregnancy. (It’s probable that it was a frigid day.)

Portman is expecting her third child with husband Benjamin Millepied, whom she met while filming “Black Swan” in 2009. Aleph, their son, was born in 2011, and Amalia, their daughter, was born in 2017.

In July 2019, it was revealed that Jane Foster, Portman’s character in the “Thor” franchise, will be taking up the hammer in “Love and Thunder,” inspired by Jason Aron’s comic storyline “the Mighty Thor.”

Representatives did not respond to requests for comment.
