Keshia Knight Pulliam And Brad James Are Expecting Their First Child As A Couple

Congratulations are due! Keshia Knight Pulliam and Brad James, her husband, are expecting their first child together. The actress took to Instagram to announce the news.

“Oh, my baby! Baby James is due in 2023! She captioned the brief video of herself and James smiling at the camera.

The Cosby Show alumna met her future husband on the set of the 2019 television film Pride & Prejudice: Atlanta, and the two began dating shortly thereafter

. They became engaged in December 2020 and exchanged vows in October of last year. Pulliam also informed her Instagram followers of the nuptials, posting a slideshow of images from the intimate ceremony.

“Last Week My Life Changed Forever,” Pulliam wrote in the caption. It was magical that I married my best friend in our home, surrounded by family!

“We had not originally planned for a large destination wedding.” Instead, it was cosy, whimsical, and filled with love, laughter, and happiness. “Unquestionably perfect!” She Persisted. “Perhaps one day I will discuss the circumstances that prompted our change of plans.”

However, for now, I can declare that God does not make errors and that the joy is in the journey.

Pulliam thanked everyone who helped make the event magical and said that COVID-19 and the pandemic have “definitely taught us to live in the present and that the present is the best “present” there is.”

This is James’ first child, while Pulliam and her ex-husband, NFL star Ed Hartwell, share custody of their 5-year-old daughter Ella. The couple wed in January 2016, but Hartwell filed for divorce in July, mere days before Pulliam’s pregnancy announcement. In 2018, the couple finalised their divorce.

In a September 2020 interview with Current, Pulliam disclosed how her whirlwind romance with James began. They “just hit it off” while appearing together on set and in the same scenes.

“When We Were Working, On Set, And During Downtime, It Was Just Natural Conversation,” she recalled. “And it quickly grew into this.”
