Her fellow surviving members of The Seekers, Keith Potger, Bruce Woodley, and Athol Guy, released a statement in which they expressed how the loss of their “prized lifelong companion and bright light” had “changed forever” their lives.
They said, “Her struggle was fierce and valiant – she never complained about her fate and totally accepted its end. We are very fortunate to share her amazing musical legacy with Keith, Bruce, and me.

Durham, whose real name was Judith Mavis Cock and who was born in Melbourne on July 3, 1943, started her professional singing career at the age of 18 after requesting to join the Melbourne University Jazz Band. She joined The Seekers in 1962, a group that catapulted her into stardom all around the world.
The folk music trio has sold more than 50 million records worldwide because to singles including “I’ll Never Find Another You,” “I Am Australian,” and “Georgy Girl.”
Durham left the group in 1968 to pursue a solo career. He produced a number of records before joining The Seekers again in the 1990s. In 1969, she wed British pianist Ron Edgeworth; he passed away from motor neuron disease over 30 years later.
Beverley Sheehan, Durham’s adored sister, spoke on their relationship on Friday, stating, “Judith’s enthusiasm for life, her constant optimism, her creativity, and her generosity of spirit were always an inspiration to me.”
