Jeremy Renner Crushed Under Snowplow To Save Nephew: Sheriff’s Report

Jeremy Renner Crushed Under Snowplow in Attempt to Save Nephew

Jeremy Renner was crushed under his snow-removal tractor earlier this month while trying to stop it from hitting his nephew. On New Year’s Day, Mr. Renner’s snowplough ran him over at his Nevada home, breaking 30 bones. After two weeks in the ICU, the “Avengers” star was released from the hospital last week (ICU).

According to Cnn’s Washoe County Sheriff’s Office report, Mr. Renner was hurt trying to save his adult nephew from a seven-ton Pistenbully snowcat. The 52-year-old pulled his nephew’s car out of heavy snow at his Nevada home with the snowplough. Officials said Mr. Renner left the snowplough without using the parking brake when the track-based vehicle began “sliding sideways.”

“He (Mr. Renner) Feared The Pistenbully Would Hit (his nephew), So He Decided To Attempt To Stop Or Divert The Pistenbully,” according to the outlet.

“The Pistenbully had some mechanical issues, but our mechanical inspection indicated that the parking brake would stop it.” “When Renner attempted to stop or divert the Pistenbully to protect his nephew, he was pulled under the vehicle by the track and run over,” officials explained.

The report stated that “mechanical issues may have been a factor in this accident,” and that the snowcat’s brake indicator light was not working. Mr. Renner’s Nephew Helped the Actor Until Help Arrived. “He lay on the ground and focused on his breathing while his nephew and others assisted him until medical personnel arrived,” according to the report.

The “Hawkeye” star was airlifted to the hospital for two surgeries. He said the incident broke over 30 bones. Mr. Renner posted an Instagram photo last week.

“Morning workouts, resolutions, and family tragedy changed this New Year.” I’d Like To Thank Everyone For Their Thoughtfulness And Messages For My Family And I. Much Love And Appreciation To You All. Like the love and bond with family and friends, these 30+ broken bones will heal and strengthen. Best Wishes, “He Wrote The Post Caption.”
