Comedian Jay Leno Discharged From Hospital After Getting Burned In Fire

Jay Leno has been let out of the hospital after being treated for serious burns he got in a recent gasoline fire accident. He is “looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with his family,” he said.

People said that the former host of “The Tonight Show” was grateful for the care he got after the accident and “very appreciative of all the well wishes.”

It is said that the accident happened last week in Burbank, California, while Leno was working under a car.

The comedian got burns that were “deep second-degree” and maybe even third-degree. But Dr. Peter Grossman said he was “pleased with Jay’s progress” and “optimistic” that Leno would get better.

“Jay wants everyone to know how grateful he is for the care he got and how much he appreciates all the well wishes.” Read a statement shared with us by the Grossman Burn Center.

“He is looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with his family and friends and wishes everyone a happy holiday.”

The centre also gave several hospital staff a picture of Leno that showed burn scars on his face, neck, and hand.

He had said before that he was “okay” after what happened, but now he is getting better.

In a statement provided to the PA News Agency, he said, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire.”

In other words, I am fine. I’ll be fine in a week or two; give me time.

Following his retirement from Nbc’s Tonight Show in 1992, American presenter and comedian Johnny Carson returned for a second run from 2010 to 2014 before handing over to the show’s current host, Jimmy Fallon.

Jay Leno’s Garage, based on his lifelong passion for automobiles, airs on CNBC, and Leno, 72, is also the host of a new version of the classic game show You Bet Your Life.
