A spokesman for Jamie Foxx has debunked claims that the actor’s recent hospitalization was caused by the Covid-19 vaccine, which left him “partially paralyzed and blind.” Foxx’s representatives told NBC News that the charges were “completely inaccurate.”

On May 30, Hollywood gossip journalist AJ Benza made the unverified claim on Ask Dr. Drew, presented by reality TV presenter Dr. Drew Pinsky. Benza said on the show that Foxx was compelled to obtain the Covid-19 vaccine while filming a film, citing a person “in the room” with Foxx when he was hospitalized.

Foxx acquired a “blood clot in the brain” after receiving the vaccine, which “caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind.” Despite Foxx’s officials denying Benza’s accusations, far-right critics have continued disseminating the anti-vaccination conspiracy idea on the internet.

Candace Owens, a political analyst with 1.67 million subscribers on YouTube, promoted the notion on her podcast on June 6. In the video titled “What’s Going On With Jamie Foxx?” Owens stated that Benza’s story had “some veracity” because no one in Foxx’s family had rejected it.

Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk also weighed in on the claim, tweeting on 1 June that he was “infuriated a decent person like Jamie Foxx fell victim to Big Pharma because a movie set is still dumb enough to mandate their cash cow clot sh0t.”

Jamie Foxx’s health has been the subject of much concern since the 55-year-old actor was hospitalized in April due to a “medical complication.” Corinne Foxx, his daughter, revealed on social media on April 12 that her father “experienced a medical complication yesterday.”

Foxx was filming the upcoming Netflix feature Back in Action in Georgia when he was transported to a medical facility.  Many rumors circulated about Foxx’s health. While most reports indicated the actor was on the mend, a source informed Radar that his friends and family were “hoping for the best – but bracing for the worst.”

Jamie Foxx broke his quiet on social media on May 3rd, thanking fans for their support. “Thank you for all of your support!!! I’m feeling blessed prayer, heart, and fox emoji,” the actor wrote on Instagram.
