Harvey Levin, the founder of Tmz, says that the Fitness Guru does leave his house to go shopping or for a walk on the beach, but he has been able to avoid the cameras.

In March 2016, rumours began to spread that his housekeeper was holding him hostage. During an audio appearance on the Today show on March 14, 2016, Simmons denied the rumors. Simmons didn’t tell anyone that the Slimmons Fitness gym closed in November.
In 2017, he went to the hospital because he had severe heartburn. Later, a picture of him with the caption “I’m not “missing,” just a little under the weather” was posted online. But people were quick to say that the photo was taken in 2013.
This made people wonder if that was even Richard. He sued the National Enquirer and Radar Online for making up fake stories that he was changing his gender. But he likes to stay out of the public eye, and no one knows why.
Richard is now 73 years old now.
