Before that, he was in charge of education for Kenya’s Cabinet. He was the Chairman of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) from 2016 to 2019.

From 2005 to 2015, he was vice chancellor at the University of Nairobi. He also worked as a consultant urologist at Kenyatta National Hospital, which is part of the University Teaching Hospital.

Magoha died in Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday, January 24. He had had a heart attack. Michael Magoha, his son, and his wife all tried to help him.

Even though people tried to bring him back to life, he died in the hospital after collapsing at home and being taken there. Prof. Magoha was known for being tough and unwilling to give in when he was in charge as a Cabinet Secretary in the Education Ministry, where he was in charge of operations.

Magoha died a little more than a month after his younger brother, Alex Nyabera Magoha, died.

Nyabera died on December 6, 2022, in Allen, Texas, in the United States. No one knew what caused his death.

Before he was buried, the funeral procession was set to leave the Aga Khan Hospital Funeral Home in Kisumu on January 28, 2023.

Even worse, their other sibling died in 2021, causing the family to have to grieve again.
