Wragge began his career as a sports reporter for WMUR-TV in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he began as a reporter for a 48 Hours exposé on NBA Spring Break in 1991. With the passage of time, he began hosting the nightly sportscasts at WVIT-TV, an NBC station in Hartford, Connecticut. Wragge covered NBA, WNBA, Notre Dame football, Gator Bowl, Sun America Sportsdesk, and Olympic events.
