Caitlyn Jenner has worn a lot of hats in her life, and she has always looked great in them.
Jenner, who was born Bruce Jenner, became known to the world in 1970, when she competed in the Drake Relays as a decathlete. At the time, she was a physical education major at Graceland University and had played college football. She went on to compete in the Summer Olympics in 1972 and 1976. In 1976, she won a gold medal in the decathlon in Montreal. Soon after, she decided to quit the sport.
The Olympian said at the time, “In 1972, I decided I would do what I was doing for four years and give it my all. After that, I would move on to something else.” “I knew going into that competition that it would be the last time I ever did something like that.”
Jenner became a legend in her own right after she won the gold medal. She was on the covers of Sports Illustrated, GQ, and Playgirl, and she was also a spokesperson for Wheaties. The handsome athlete also became a star in Hollywood, with parts in Can’t Stop the Music (1980) and CHiPs (1981), an NBC crime drama. In 1996, Bruce Jenner’s World Class Decathlon, a video game based on her, was made.
Jenner moved to reality TV in 2007, when she and her then-wife Kris Jenner let E! viewers into their home and showed them how their blended family lived. This show was called “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Kris and Caitlyn got married in April 1991 and had two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The momager also had Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian with her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian. Caitlyn had Burt Jenner and Casey Marino with her first wife Chrystie Crownover and Brandon Jenner and Brody Jenner with her second wife Linda Thompson.
“I am so fortunate. After the Kardashians announced the end of their reality show in 2020, the athlete said on her YouTube channel, “I have the best home movies ever.” “I’ve watched all my kids grow up on the network. I’ve seen them get married, get divorced, have kids, and now watch Kendall and Kylie grow up.”
After Caitlyn and Kris got a divorce in 2015, the New York native came out as a transgender woman in a 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer and on the cover of Vanity Fair. Since then, she has been a strong voice for trans rights.
